Everywhere I read about testosterone it mentions an increase in hairs on the body. I was wondering if that always happens. I'm 6 months on T now, and the only place I noticed an increase of hairs is on my stomach (happy trail) and on my face. Other places of my body were always a bit hairy (blonde hairs) and I've seen no changes there.

This made me wonder. What about the back of your hand hairs? I always see that guys have this. When I check my hand in the light, I see small blonde hairs there, but they've always been there. Will these hairs come in due time, or won't it happen anymore for me? And what about chest hairs? How long does it take for them to come in? Again, I only have short, very soft blonde hairs on my chest that always were there.

Anyone knows how long it can take for these type of body hairs to come in, if at all?

What colour is your natural hair?  I ask because obviously most guys with lighter-coloured hair will not get the same noticeably dark hairs on the backs of their hands, etc. as guys with darker hair or Mediterranean heritage, etc.

I can attest to the fact that at 6 months on T, I was exactly the same as you.  The only places my hair was darker and noticeable was on my belly and my face. 

Now at nearly 2 years, I have darker hair on my arms and legs, pretty furry belly and facial hair that is now creeping up my cheeks and that has become wiry and thick.  I still have zero chest hair - as in nil.  I have a few stray black hairs on my shoulders, but none on my back.  As with facial hair growth, all body hair can take 5 or more years to fully come in, so you are still in baby stages. 

And here I am, closing in one year on T and I still have very insignificant hair going on on my stomach. I have few stray dark hairs in the happy trail area but the rest is so blond it's invisible. Then again, so is the hair on my arms but there's so much of it, it's quite visible because of the sheer amount.

Pretty much the only place where my hair has gotten darker is my legs. Slowly creeping up the thighs now.
And oh yeah, pedo stache is trying to form. I have few very dark hair on my upper lip but that's about it. Curses of being a stereotypical blond blue-eyed Northern European.

It can take awhile. I am not naturally blessed, and I didn't start to see hand/toe/belly hair in earnest until closer to two years. I am at 2.5 right now, and it is slowly wrapping around my forearms and onto my hands, and I have a few small patches of hobbit-hair on my feet. I am starting to get some chest hair, but it is coming in fairly fine and soft, at least for the moment. I had my hysto done when I was less than a year on T, though, which I believe is atypical.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm five months on T and have only had an increase in leg hair and a few happy trail hairs. My arm hairs are blond and pretty much invisible. So far I only have typical peach fuzz on my face, nothing dark. I can't wait to be more hairy...

This is, oddly, a bit painful to recount for me, but here's hoping it is helpful to you guys...

It may be faster for FTM's with HRT, but my biological ones took a couple of years, really.  First I got some weedy facial hair, an armpit hair or two, some belly hair... over a couple of years I had thin hair growing everywhere.  Five years on I had a full complement of chest hair.  It keeps on going, though, as you age.  At 37 I started sprouting hairs *erk* on my shoulders.

It's coming, and pretty much on schedule... it just takes a while.

The doctor who's responsible for my HRT stuff actually said it's highly possible for facial hair to take good couple years to start growing properly. Of course, there are some lucky individuals who seem to sprout beard almost overnight.
