I know the answer to this question is probably no, but is there any world in which an endocrinologist would prescribe you any hormones on the day they do your bloodwork? Even if it's just anti-androgens? Again, I think I know the answer to this since they're doing bloodwork to know what to give you, so without it they can't really give you anything...

...But the only reason I ask is that my dysphoria has REALLY ramped up in the past few weeks to the point where I am consistently barely sleeping, and when I do it's really broken sleep. Also anxiety and lack of focus has ramped up too to the point where I can hardly work. It's like I can feel the testosterone in my veins and I wanna crawl out of my skin. So if I can get on SOMETHING sooner rather than later that'd be awesome cause this has gotten super bad, and waiting till Friday for my bloodwork appt seems doable but waiting seven to ten days after that seems impossible (I know it's not and I'll make it if I have to but aaaaaarrrggghhh ::shakesfistatendogenoushormones:...

I don't want to get your hopes up, but I got my scripts for E and P the first visit, before I even did any blood-work. xD I think I got all that done the next day. Good luck!

Only if you're already self medicating (please don't do it).  I wanted to go legitamate and the endo asked me cut my E and Spiro back a bit as he waited for the bloodwork to come back.  And the day he got the results he emailed the prescription to the pharmacy. 

But Dev, I AM NOT ADVOCATING SELF MEDICATION.  I ended up with some pretty big problems and a skin condition from it, but at least I didn't die.  Self medication can kill you.

Don't worry, I'm not self medicating to try and get through what would probably be just another week of waiting. I got enough of the neurotic Jewish genes from my parents to be too paranoid to do that :-P.

And so I gather there's a possibility they could start me right then and there, though it's not a definite.

Well here's to hoping and fingers crossed! Sleeping would be nice haha.

No! No worries at all, I do appreciate the warning. I know you were just looking out :-).

My first endo appointment was a morning appointment, and he had me do bloodwork before going home.  They gave me a call that afternoon to say that my lab results had come in and that my prescription had been sent to the pharmacy!  Too bad I took a couple of weeks to bank sperm before picking up my meds...

So there's a chance! I'll try not to get my hopes up but God it would be great to start on Friday.

My endo did. When i was given the prescriptions i was told to contact him immediately if i saw reactions A, B, C, D, and E and to call 911 if i experienced side effects A, B and C. My endo at the time was also a 2hr drive round triptrip so he didn't want me to waste my diesel just to pick up my prescriptions.

Whhhaaaa? So it seems like the norm may actually be just to start you...? I never thought that was the case but it was so far for all but one of you girls. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up but if I could actually be starting hormones in five days that would be such an incredible relief.

People stopped buying American cars and my plant went on layoff. After about 6 months i was let go. 3 months later still no job. Almost 10 months and i got a job at Walmart, but the store over hired and i got laid off....again. Thankfully i have orientation at a factory that manufactures brakes for the US military, Israeli army (tanks only), and about 75% of personaland commercial aircraft. We also manufacture clutches for Caterpillar and NASCAR. Needless to say i probably won't be getting laid off again lol.

I'm sorry to hear all of that! But I'm glad to hear that things sound on track now! Any hope of getting back on HRT any time soon?

I do plan on it but first i gotta get thru Christmas, then get the AK variant that i was saving for before i got laid off and had to spend my savings on diesel so i could apply for jobs. Plus i gotta redo my bug out bag too cuz some stuff expired

Great to hear about the new job, and I hope you can start HRT again soon.  And if the company supplies parts to NASCAR maybe you can get tickets to races nearby.  I used to get into the Sonoma races as a traffic manager for the State, but I'd always miss the last couple laps because I had to be at my station when the race ended. 

Hope you get the AK in the future.  Have a couple AK parts kits in Michigan that need to new recievers (can't have them in CA).
