So what Edge, good post! I'm glad you got it off your chest and it's not weird, we are all people, all different and diverse, all have our own feelings, likes and dislikes and none of us come out of the exact same cookie cutter mold although some would prefer to think so. Just be you, be real and enjoy your life. Who knows, that guy may just like the sox off of you and you can drop all your labels and just enjoy for a change.
Thanks. Yeah I know. I just get these weird ideas in my head. I wish he could like me, but sadly, I don't think that's likely. At least he seemed happy to see me today and initiated a conversation with me. Most people don't. The fact still remains that he's straight though. And right now, I have an urge to ramble about him. :P

I remember my old therapist mentioning this show/character but I never checked it out.

I went ahead and checked out a few clips on Youtube.

Pffft...

They used a genetic female for the role.

Typical....

I think the Betty chick is cuter (but I like geeky girls).

I liked Alexis too. ;D It would have been nice if they used a trans woman, but yeah. She is awesome and I think they handled her very well for the most part.

Nothing wrong with that IMO. She's really tall so she makes it work, lol

There are a few. Then again, if a trans person is depicted in fiction, there tends to be a lot of controversy even in the trans community. I think we're still at a point where trans characters are expected to represent the entire trans community. I hope one day individuals will be seen as individuals and not representatives of an entire, diverse group.

Indeed. When it's 99% of all characters, I think we have a right to be offended. Not unlike early depictions of black people. Some day, hopefully, we'll all look back at these days and laugh.

I am wondering if I can translate my thoughts into coherent, english words. I'll give it a shot. I am thinking about this guy I have a crush on. I want to talk about this guy and this crush, but don't want to seem like a teenage girl. For the past few days, I've felt pretty crappy about it. For one, it would never work since he's straight and I'm a guy. I worry that he would be embarrassed if he were to find out. For that matter, I think the chances of anyone even not minding that someone like me has a crush on them is slim to none. I also feel ashamed of being trans, ashamed of being attracted to another man, and worried that I will be seen as someone I'm not because of it.
But today, I feel good about it. I mean, it's still as hopeless, but I couldn't help but feel really happy to see him today. It's been a long time since I genuinely felt this way and, I've got to admit, it feels good. For now, anyway.
Also, part of the shame I feel towards myself is because, in media, queer guys tend to be rather stock characters none of which I can really relate to. The gay men in my community tend to like Cher and pop music. I like metal and industrial. I like monsters and gore and, well, that doesn't seem to mesh with what people associate with gay and bi people. So I decided to see if there were any others like me out there. It seems like a dumb question, but... yeah, it's a dumb question. I looked anyway. Apparently, I am not an anomaly. That makes me feel a bit better about it.
(No offense is meant towards anyone trans and/or not straight. For some reason, even though I know it's illogical, I have these feelings of shame towards myself, but they are only towards myself.)
Also, I'm sick of the whole effeminate OR masculine thing. As if I can't be both. I don't want to be labelled as either/or.

Eh, do what you want. You don't have to be a stereotype. Anyway, maybe you should ask him. Maybe... hmm, how to put this... maybe he's not as straight as he seems. Plenty of people who are bi just stay in het relationships as a defense against homophobia. You never know unless you try.
I'm not here to decorate your world.

I definitely hope so. I hope a day comes when trans characters are just like any other character.

Yeah I know it's silly to let other people's opinions and assumptions get to me.
Maybe.

It's alright to have crushes Edge.. don't punch me but I think it's adooorable! ;D Just don't give yourself a hard time for your feelings working the way they do.

I am so worn out after a loooong day at work, running back and forth between therapists, specialists, more work.. I got cat food though! Lots of cat food. And I got pizza and a new work uniform. I dare say I look smashing in it. The uniform, not the pizza.

I can relate sometimes, Edge...I get little crushes that I feel ashamed of. Like there was one girl, and ugh, I just hated having feelings for her because I thought all sorts of things about myself.

I'm also thinking about how as people get older, they seem so much happier and more content and calm. Like it really seems as though life gets easier as you age. It makes a part of me feel like "I WANT TO GET THERE NOW." But I'm not there lol. It's almost reassuring though. Like, if I let myself live a full life, if I don't give up, one day it's going to be easier and make just a bit more sense. And then it makes me sad for the people who for whatever reason didn't get to live full lives because they never got to reach that place.

I also had a dream that was kind of spiritual and weird and stuff.

We old farts and fartesses become pragmatic realists and eventually are compelled to set the illusions and delusions aside and deal with our own reality about our mortality which has a way of bringing that on!  :icon_peace:

Funny how in order to fully live you have to fully realize your own death.

Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Where's the OP?

I have wondered that too! If she really hasn't been around or if I just haven't seen as many of her posts.

It warms my heart when I read about someone who puts their life on the line to save their pet dog or cat. One guy wrestled a crocodile to save his Terrier >.<

Meh...I guess.

But I think it would be better if an actual transwoman played the part.

I've been pooting all day and they seem extra stinky for some reason.  I thought that last one would never go away....

TMI -That junk food has your guts all glued up, you probably need a damned good enema, maybe you should call Roto Rooter!  >:-)

I actually haven't eaten much junk food lately. Maybe that's the problem...

And if they can talk about double penetration and all that, I think a comment on pooting is fairly tame comparably.

Maybe you need something like greasy bacon, eggs fried in bacon grease, toast slathered in butter chased by a few cups of hot coffee is speedy lube for your innards, stay close to the bathroom cause you're gonna have exploding butt! Oh I know I'm awful today, sorry..TMI.  :icon_hahano:
