When I went through my first transition I never considered myself well enough developed to buy a bra. I would've been lucky to fill a AA and I doubt they made trainers to fit a 92cm/36" rib cage. Yes, I suppose I could have at least bought a B or C cup and padded it. What can I say? Sometimes I wasn't the brightest 23 year old.

Or I should say "bras" 'cos I've bought two! One is a standard dress bra and the other one a sports bra.

My bust is now almost large enough to fit into a Australian 18B (US/UK 40C) so I might get a bit of use out of them before I (hopefully) need to move onto the next cup size. Other than mucking around with my mothers bras when I was pre-teen I've never really worn one before. Had to figure out how to adjust it and get it on. It was fun, very exciting!

I know some women can clip the dress bras from behind but, until I can, I guess I'll have to clip it at the front and swing it around before slipping my arms through the straps (learned that one somewhere, can't remember where). The sports bra is great, so soft and comfortable and comes with a bit of extra padding!!  Unfortunately I had bought the sports bra because it had been suggested as a means of keeping my breasts less noticeable but this style has the opposite effect! What a shame, now I'll just have to buy another one!

  Congrats and best of luck with 'round two'!  It was pretty exciting back when I bought my first ones and didn't even have anything to fill them with.  Just think how excited I'll be when my development takes off (it's starting!).  I mentioned in another thread that I just bought a compression sports bra today myself because I'm paranoid I might be looking unpresentable at work very shortly .  This bra will definitely hide rather than enhance - Adidas Techfit is the model.  It's pretty tight but I'm still breathing just fine.

Grats! Hopefully I'll need one too in the next few months lol. Already feeling some jiggling at the gym. o_o

OK, cool - I'll check them out. Believe me though, unless you normally wear tight body shirts to work then you'll be able to hide a fair bit of development. I'm almost to that Oz B-cup (US/UK C-cup) size and I'm still doing mostly OK with loose shirts. I think it's due in no small part to women's clothing being cut and designed to show off their figure where it counts.

I don't bother with behind the back. My arms don't seem to want to do that

congrats ms. grace on your first bra!!! so exciting to join the rank of proud bra wearing women. i remember when i bought my first bra not that long ago and being afraid to wear it. i now have close to 10. today i am wearing a pink 38b push-up. went to a coffee shop and kind of let it show. although i had nail polish and lipstick on (both pink of course), no one seemed to notice! despite what other girls say, bras are so much fun!
one question, if your size is now a US c, why did you wait so long to buy your first bra? i would have thought that when you were a b cup, you would have started to wear one??

Congratulations! Be sure to try lots of bras and find your brand. It's a hassle, but a good comfy bra makes all the difference like shoes or anything else.
