Hey all,

I just wanted to share my first few experiences coming out to a few people.

Firstly, i came out to my direct manager (Who i value as a good friend already) She was at first shocked and admitted she thought i was either terminally ill or wanted to declare my love for her! Admittedly, i was almost crying, having a small panic attack and squeaked out 'This is really hard!' So i don't blame her for assuming wild things! I had asked her to watch:

A few days before... and she hadn't!! I'd also told her the general gist of the video... When i finally plucked up enough courage, i choked out that 'you know that video i told you to watch? Well that's...' and started pointing to myself. It sunk in pretty quick and she was pretty much 'holy s***!' but was amazing about it. She has been 100% supportive and understanding.

Next, she asked if it was ok to share with anyone else. I said i didn't mind if our accounts manager (another person i value greatly) knew. On the weekend, the three of us met at my manager's house and had a girly chat... Which was great. I now had two great allies! A great weight felt like it was breaking off of me.

A week later, i text my mum and told her i needed to see her. I went over that night terrified. She had popped out, so i watched some Dr.Who to try and still my nerves (David Tennant... Yum) Anyway, she came home, saw that i was in a lot of pain (crying again!!) And said 'you're having money trouble, aren't you?' lol. I shook my head and she tried 'you're seeing someone else, you're splitting up with -girlfriend- and you're gay?' I kept shaking my head and crying and eventually mum said 'i can't help if you don't tell me.' :') So... i took a deep breath and said 'you know how i'm your son...?' (Puzzled look from her) 'Well i've always felt... Like your daughter.' She didn't seem too shocked, and admitted 'there was always something different about you... you're far too emotional for a boy!' she was... EVERYTHING i needed... she threatened to go to war with any family that weren't supportive. She wished i told her sooner. She said many things that made me feel so much better. She said i was being silly to be terrified to tell her, at the end of the day i was still her child, no matter what. She still loved me. I left feeling incredibly positive... :D

Next comes my girlfriend, who i admit, i think will be completely the other way (i won't blame her...)

Also, i'd like to note that the above posted video makes me cry everytime i watch it. She is truly an inspiration!!

Finally, my mum has tried to book an appointment with our GP for ~19th of Dec... I'm phoning Monday morning to try and push it forward!!

So, my dad know too now... I was expecting him to be confused/hurt/angry at no one in particular, but i totally underestimated him. He only asked why i hadn't told them sooner... :( i wish i had!!

(This was meant to be uploaded 11th...)

Came out to my girlfriend, and after a few rocky days we're fine :D I'm even wearing my real clothes around her :) I've warned her it's gonna be hard, and to let me know if she can't handle everything... We will wait and see though! Phew, getting there!
