Pretty cute! My wife wants to know why you don't have runners on the sleigh instead of wheels? Looks like everyone was having fun!

Less of a bumpy ride with wheels :) Yeah it was so cold but too cool waking up to a picture of yourself at the front of the local newspaper!

My spouse says you're cute, loves the horse too. Is this something you do for $$?

Great, while you're out, grab me a pizza, will you?

If only they all could be delivered to my house. -sigh-

I think in the next few days I will be closing my account here. I don't post like I used to and I'm slowly withdrawing from the online world.

That's too bad, you will be missed. We all enjoyed eavesdropping on you and Caleb's romance, seeing the great graphics you have created and were pleased for you when you scored a job after being unemployed for so long which is hard to do once you're out of the loop for an extended period. Perhaps since you are so busy it would be better just to keep the account and check in with your friends here once in awhile?

I agree 100 percent with everything above.

Veggie?  I suppose, though for me personally I'd go with the pepperoni or meat supreme :p

Don't listen to her, Mal, she's trying to get you into trouble.   Cause believe me, if someone brought me a veggie pizza, there would most certainly be trouble...

I totally didn't see your above statement.  YES we definately have to go with meat lovers now.

It really annoys me how nasty and judgemental people can get over famous/well-known people. They're people, they have feelings too. You think they don't read everything said about them? Does everyone have to be painted in black or white? >.>

I think that people use public figures as proxies for people in their lives. It's a strategy for indirectly sharing criticisms.

Unfortunately, the public figures get thrown under the bus in the process.

Noooooo! Don't leave, Keaira! I love listening to you.

In other news, I was scrolling down my Facebook page when I came across this gem:

QuoteNessa just said she wishes she had a beard when she's a daddy.

And it is, of course, filled with comments like "Ohoho, silly girl! Well, she'll learn the difference when she grows up."

I'm sitting here thinking, Oh no... oh... oh... noooo...

So I posted "You may want to keep an eye on that kid. She might be serious. I know quite a few guys who started as girls."

What do you guys think, was that a good idea? I just don't know... I want to help young people, but I feel like that kind of advice coming from a "known transsexual", as I am, may have made things worse... Like, before it was a joke, a cute little kid thing, but now they might be thinking "Oh no, we better get her more Barbies and burn everything in the house that's colored blue."

I feel like any time I try to help someone, they end up worse off than if I just left them alone.
I'm not here to decorate your world.

Well this is odd.
For the last few years we haven't had decent snow until past New Year's and now we have a nice winter landscape going on already at this point.
And quite crispy temperatures, too. It's -14C (or 6,8F) where I live and it seems like there's no wind at all. The perfect winter day. <3

So my young nephew has picked up a tease he probably learned from school.  I wear glasses, but yesterday me was saying "aha you can't see, that's why you have four eyes".

Obviously the best thing to do in that situation would have been to chastize him verbally, and my mother took care of that, but how does Malachite respond?  Somewhere a long the lines of.....

"Well, your vision is going to get worse when you get older so you're going to have to wear glasses too eventually."

The little guy always has to ask his grammy if I'm telling the truth by repeating my statement into a question and she replies "Yeah".

Poor little guy pauses for a minute, and then he talks about how he is young so he won't get bad vision.  I think it's cute how invincible he think he is.  I was the same way.  I love my little nephew.  He's a good kid and a joy to be around.  I know he wouldn't have came up with something like that by himself.  Was I in the wrong for crushing his dream of invincibility, even if for a split second?  Yup, I sure was wrong.  Am I going to do it again in the future if I see fit?  Without hesitation.

Queue sounds of breaking glass. :D

Oh the moments when my childhood illusions were shattered... A harsh welcome to the real world.

@Kristal It was short and only a cautionary statement, I think it was the best thing to say in the situation.  :)
