Misato

Greetings! I said I would be back to this place when I remedied a life problem.

Well, life problem remedied, and I'm a woman of my word.

In the intervening months, I've been crazy good busy. Let's see... I graduated my trans therapy group. Got my name and gender marker officially changed. Gave a lecture at the Minnesota Trans Health Coalition about seeking employment as someone who happens to be trans and that's just the trans part of my life. Beyond that arena, I've taken to karaoke. When I take the mic I just say, "And now it's time for me to use my superpower!" and launch into Green Day, Weezer and last time Rick Astley (because I had to rick-roll the room) same as I ever did. Participated in and won my first National Novel Writing month. Discovered the wonder that is a facial. Bowling is becoming a regular thing. Saw my first play. Went home for Thanksgiving which was awesome cause Thanksgiving in 2012 I was prepared to lose touch with a lot of my family with my coming out. Once again, I found myself blessed to be wrong about the amount of love in this world cause I was sure there was so little but I've since found so much. They were great! Except for my dad who continues to be... an interpretation unto himself.

I remember when I first came here. Years and years ago, long before I had an account and all terrified and sure that my life would burn should I ever embrace who I was. Who I am. It's quite amazing how much easier life has become since I stopped fighting myself and went with the natural flow instead. :)

Going forward, I'm planning my Regeneration Celebration for the 11th of January when I will mark one month since I went Full Time (one year HRT is a few weeks after that). Regeneration, because this year has reminded me of Doctor Who (which I just got into just in time for the 50th anniversary). Going around with a new face while finding out the constitution of this new version of myself all the while still carrying baggage and responsibility around from the life before. It's been quite a ride.

Don't really want to write a novel here cause well, I just did that last month. Really just wanted to announce I'm back and will probably poke my head in here from time to time again.

You look WONDERFUL!!!

Congrads!!  That is great news.

For me, my life, my hormones, my transition - all under control.  FFS is March 8!!!!

Hugs,

Jen
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Miss Misato!

Though I didn't know you when you made your first introduction, it sounds as though you've come so far! Congrats on everything you've accomplished so far and all that you surely will in the future.

You're an inspiration!  ;)

Great to see you back and know that you are loving your life.
Sounds a lot like my year too, except I didn't finish NaNoWriMo. I intend to win it next year. Woot!

You'll get em next year for sure! I got a iPad Air just for nano, I didn't want to make that kind of investment and not win. :)

Welcome back!  I think a break from this site every now and then is healthy, and you've returned with more real-world experience for the newbies :)

Good choice!  See you around the site, allons-y!  *makes TARDIS noises*
Sometimes I blog things

Of course I'm sane.  When trees start talking to me, I don't talk back.
