I'm no 'fashionista', but I do love clothes and accessories even more than I thought I would before I transitioned. I find myself looking at other women all the time and pay close attention to how their 'look' is put together if their style catches my eye. I own eleven pairs of shoes and six purses I've bought myself and two more that my mom and sister in law gave me. I know that probably sounds excessive, but as far as the shoes are concerned, I only wear five pairs with any regularity, but I use all five purses I bought, depending on what I'm wearing. I've been living 24/7 as the woman I've always been for 27 wonderful months now, so in that time my styles have changed and I've accumulated things, like shoes and purses, lol! What I'd like to know is this, how many pairs of shoes do you own, how many do you wear, and how many purses do you have and use, too? Hugs, Mira

Zero purses (but 1 woman's wallet) and a single pair of sneakers. BUT I might buy a purse of a very specific type since I am starting to accumulate more crap I can carry than what I can fit in the pocket of my jeans. Plus, the pockets on many women's jeans are so friggin small. It's uber annoying.

Ohhh I have four purses. One is a backpack sort for those active sort of events. The remaining three are Coach purses and one Coach satchel sort of bag. They are NOT cheap but they are timeless and last a very long time! You just cant go wrong with Coach.

Shoes? Crap I suppose about 14 pairs of shoes. Most are athletic shoes. My life is about sports it seems so my shoes fit my life well.

My wife and I have about a dozen purses and clutches and over 50 pairs of footwear between us. 

In other words, still not enough...

Now every time we travel, we have to bring an extra suitcase for shoes alone.

Purses I have maybe 3 or 4 but really only use one. Shoes I got about 15 - 20 pairs in some combination of heels and boots. Due to where I work, I am limited to only flat soled shoes which means my shoe options go down to 3 realistically.

I have an addiction to shoes!! and boots! Anytime I go into a department store I always scan the shoe section....I easily have over thirty pairs of shoes and 6-8 pairs of boots. I mostly wear flats, sandals, flip flops and athletic type....I only wear about 7-10 on a regular basis. I have heels but only wear for special occasions and job interviews.....have never been able to afford a pair that won't hurt after 4-5 hours!!

About the only thing I like about winter is the chance to wear cute boots!! I wear boots 75% of the time and I usually get compliments from guys and girls about my boots.

In the little over 2 years I have been FT I have gone through about 7 purses but I only use one at a time....I'm getting a bit bored with the one I have now....hmmm think I'll have to go shopping!

3-4 purses & maybe 10 pairs of shoes, pretty skimpy however it seems my weekly electrolysis visita have stopped my shopping trips. Maybe later I will work more on my wardrope & accessories, I hope.

Thank you, ladies. It sounds like I'm simply one of many who has multiples of both, but I have far fewer than most of you it seems. Like Shelly, anytime I go to the mall I check the shoe stores, and the department stores, but I've gotten two cute purses cheap at Target. The most expensive purse I have was only $63.00, from Kohl's, and one of my favorite, most utilitarian purses was only $22.00. I want to look pretty and stylish, but when I see the Jimmy Choo, Prada, Louie Vuitton, etc., and other purses in Vogue and Elle it kind of grosses me out how expensive they are. I guess I haven't given myself to the accessory dark side yet (and couldn't even if I wanted to, lol!) and never will. I can't see paying several thousand dollars for purses, clutches and bags when there are so many people in the world starving and even in America, where 1 in 6 children go to bed hungry. It's just not that important.
I also wear bracelets and necklaces every day and those I AM sick of buying cheap, because they either break, rust or corrode, change color or make my skin turn colors.

*sigh*

With size thirteen feet (men's size) I have a hard time finding shoes.   I own a couple purses.  But I own lots and lots of bras and skirts and blouses and panty hose.   What can I say.

You 'like' shoes?!?! I think you really love shoes. But I'd have way more than ten pairs if I could afford it. I feel for you Michelle. They're finally realizing that there are lots of tall women with size 10 (my size) and 11's. Maybe they'll keep going.

Purses - 3 (I fawn colour - great colour), 1 Bright Apple Green - goes with 3 dress/outfits I have), 1 Orange/Light Red - goes with 2 Dress/Outfits and a pair of matching flat shoes.

2 pairs of Open two sandals (1 2'Heel, 1 3.5in heel)
1 pair of Black open toe Court shoes (3.5' heel)
1 pair of high heel boots (Brown)
1 pair of beige court shoes (2" heels)

1 Purse
7 pairs of shoes.
