Well I'm only 4 months in and I started at 35" hips and 30" waist. I've lost 15 pounds since starting hrt which is most likely due to cutting out sodas and all forms of alcohol. Lost 1" on the hips and 2" from the waist.
Byes!!!! It's been real but this place isn't for me. Good luck in the future everyone.

this would probably be a good idea . I need to loose weight and I'm just paranoid about measuring my self

I lost about 55 pounds (with help from exercise and diet) over the last year during HRT. I went from a 42-36-40 to the current measure of 36-27-38.  Not much change in the hips, but I guess I am pretty much happy with how my waist and chest have come down.. If not for HRT my hips would have been much slimmer.

Well that's me in the avatar .. to I guess just talking about the hips ... sorry feeling a little self-obsessed with this topic ,,,  :embarrassed: :embarrassed: :icon_chick: :icon_chick:

Oooh, your starting measurements are similar to what mine are now. There's hope!  :D I'd looove to get my waist down to 27. What kind of exercises did you do?

I did a lot of Cardio and the entire bunch of crunches. I also did a lot of including twists and bends with the stick. I followed most of the exercises shown in this link.

But again not sure what was most effective the meds of the exercise .or a combination of both. Well this is seemingly working for me.. and YMMV ..

But all the best .. I'm sure if I can do it anyone can ..

Pre HRT I was pretty small ... I think I wore a men's 29 jeans (I guess that was my male "waist") ... so... tiny.  But, over the years I gained a lot more weight (HRT related and perhaps, getting lazier about exercise ... oops) and now I'm at a whopping 47" hips and waist is 38". Yeah... hips are a BIT wide lol, but they are bigger than my shoulders and smaller than my waist, so even though I need to get on the treadmill, I do often get the "there's no way you're a '->-bleeped-<-' --- you couldn't possibly have hips that wide" but of course, it's all an illusion!

Point being ... I think women are so focused on being small, petite and feminine that they forget ... gaining weight is an OK thing for a trans women (as long as you're being healthy) because it helps you pass much easier!

I've been doing these exercises in the video for about a week now, while I am not out yet or on HRT I am prepping myself for when I get the courage hehe...it is something at least.

I like the video and think you are way smart to have a regular exercise program.  My experience and, those I know, say that it is harder to control our weight on HRT.

Sorry if I'm a bit off topic, but I had a follow up question, how much does the midsection slim down and soften up, I measured myself and am pretty disgusted with that solid tube of stone I've got in the middle...

when I started I was a 36B with a 30' waist and 33'' hips. Now I'm 32C-D with  27' waist and 34.5' hips. I don't know I bought these capris that weren't very snug in october and wore them the other day and it feels like I'm busting out of em. So I'm def gaining a femme lower half. But my butt itself still needs some work. It's there but I need a fattie lol mainly I just feel soft all over. I'm so soft. Even my mom treats me like a delicate little thing now. The thing is I lost weight and am like 125 at 5'5. So I guess I m delicate. HRT does work.

I'm afraid I didn't measure before I started HRT.

Week 1 : Bust 40[A], waist 38", hips 40", upper thigh 25" circumference

1 year : Bust 40[D], waist 37", hips 41", upper thigh 27"

4 years : Bust 38[DDD], waist 36", hips 44", upper thigh 29"

Total change : Bust -2"/5 cup sizes, waist -2", hips +4", thigh +4". And I think I gained about 10-20 lbs over that time too.

I didn't think to measure around my butt (the "hips" there is really the widest part of the upper thighs), but that's the reason I've gone up about 3 pants sizes, so I know it's increased!

My one disappointment is that I haven't ended up more hourglass.

I know my butt and thighs have filled out more--I can tell in the way my clothes fit--but I haven't really kept accurate measurements.

I was wondering if HRT does most of the work in the body shaping or if some of you but bodyshaping products, such as hip pads.

From what I know hrt does not change the shape the body.  But it changes the way we store fat. During exercise we lose fat from the upper tummy area and put on in the hips chest and thighs. . So I guess is not like a shift.. its more like burn here put there. . Sort off.. lol.. giggles...
