Hi Everyone, Have any of you come across this procedure, I am considering it to Increase my Depth I have just been talking to a UK Surgeon's Clinical Nurse & she told me that may be the way forward. She also told me the said surgeon had just completed this procedure with no Complications. I seriously considering this very much.

Sounds like a good option. Will NHS cover it?

My only scepticism on this is that the patient shown was a natal female with Vaginal Agenesis who still had the undlying female anatomy in terms of muscle, tendon, and ligament placement and not a natal male with typical male pelvic development.  My dilation purpose is to retrain pelvic muscles who are still where they have been all my life to relax instead of contract so that I can be penetrated, instead of being the penetrator.
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

babz, I'm interested to know how a scar on the colon can prevent an srs surgeon creating good depth. And would said scar interfere with a Davydov's procedure in the same way?

StaticTheFox

I've been looking into this procedure for SRS myself.  Would this be bad or good as a primary method?

HI Static fox, I am sorry nobody has given an answer to your Question, The truth Is We do not know. Until a few weeks ago It was the first time I had heard of this procedure. I have an appointment with the UK surgeon on the 11th june & I will ask the Question amongst the ones i want to Ask.

Best Regards

Well.. any news on this topic ? Please...!!!
I know it's some months old but there're people like me who could really benefit from such a sugery !
My vag is just 6-7 cm deep and I can't enjoy a normal sex life. And I don't want to undergo
colonvaginoplasty, it's too invasive and I fear it.
Since I read of that, I started doing some research on Davydov's procedure, and it looks it's a
common and extablished enough practice today, at least for genetic women with vaginal aplasia.
I know male bones, ligaments, muscles, etc. may slightly differ from femal ones but I think not
so much to be an obstacle to this practice for ftms...
See what I found also:
http://libgen.org/scimag/get.php?doi=10.1016/s1158-1360(08)72542-8
"Secondary vaginoplasty using peritoneum from the pouch of Douglas in M to F transsexual
patiens: our experience."
So it turns out that the Italian surgeon Felici too, one of the most known ones here, actually tried this
approach with some patients !
But unfortunately I heard he doesn't practice anymore, or perhaps he even died.
And here people definitely DON'T share their experiences, everything seems taboo, and I can't gather
further info on the results...
I invite you to keep this thread updated with any news. Davydov's technique could really change
the life of all those who unfurtunately need a re-do...
