  Thanks, Susan.  This is one of the best forum sites I've been to.  There are some people who do these things on social sites elsewhere.  Whether it is dissing your boss using an anonymous url that was exposed or telling things about yourself that is usually TMI.  These people mine these sites for info to blackmail for money to just getting their jollies off seeing people suffer.  We all have to be careful.  I am not on Twitter nor Facebook because of the ease and temptation on those sites to tell of your TMI.  The kids love these sites though.  My astronomy club of 400 members is now on Facebook and we are getting a lot of hits from the younger set there.  We are trying to get in more younger members.  Our executive board that I am on has a median age of 60.  I approved this move, even though I don't personally trust these sites.

Good on you for your strength and resolve. It sounds like you're handling the right way. We are attacked and ridiculed because of others prejudices and insecurities. Screw them, we'll be our selves in spite of them! We are behind you 110%.

At any place, there are a few people who live by defaming others, instead of living their own life. Most people are busy taking care of themselves and their family.

As an administrator on another site, I know full well how you feel as I've been a target too. These bullies have such low opinions of themselves that they have a need to tear others down in order to inflate their own egos. They are pathetic little toads not worth a second glance.
I'm very glad to see that you are standing tall and proud in the face of this BS. Haters and bigots may make a lot of noise but they will not prevail.

I agree, sometimes being retaliatory simply escalates things instead of fixing them.

It would be rather fun to have the offending individual placed in one of these dunk tanks and we all get to line up and have a go at hitting the target

Is it just me or do others feel like the most vicious detractors of our community sometimes comes from within?  It's really bizarre.   And honestly, why would someone actively out someone and belittle them for being trans when they are in the same boat?  It really pisses me off how people can shut off their empathy meter when it comes to someone they don't get along with or have a disagreement with.  I don't who the person is or what caused the tear, but there are bridges that shouldn't be crossed dispute having a dispute. 

I know you hear this a lot Susan, but we all really appreciate having this forum.  Seriously, this has been the greatest gift that I could have had this year and it gave me the courage to start putting my life on track an enjoying life.  I know you have made sacrifices for us to have this site and it's greatly appreciated.  It's my only hope that one day I myself can repay this community and help transgender people that are struggling, especially younger ones who have the same fears and dilemmas prior to coming out as I did, and be an inspirational and positive force in the community.   No matter who dislikes you or whatever their personal issues are, they can never take this accomplishment away from you.  I just had to say that because your site means a lot to me and helped me in a very profound way.  Thank you for everything.

The screen name of the poster you mentioned suggests they think with parts of their anatomy other than the host of grey matter between their ears. Unfortunately, many people who do that also tend to act like said anatomical parts, too.

Perhaps their actions towards you are based on a more wide-reaching grudge borne against our community, or heck maybe just people in general, and springs from (going by the name again) pent up sexual frustration. Their inability to find a meaningful relationship, or a satisfying one. Probably due to the fact that they enjoy acting like an industrial strength reprobate. Perhaps they were spurned by someone and decided a vendetta was more appropriate than actually being a decent human being.

Pity such people. They have a lonely life ahead of them.

Keep being who you are, Susan. Because you're worth a thousand times more than anyone who would think it a good thing to do what this person is doing.

i've been here long enough to know who, i think, you're talking about.  What a shame. what a pathetic, pitiful individual.  Susan, you've done so much good, something that individual won't do in their lifetime.  stay strong.  even though i don't say it frequently, I respect you, and we all love you.
