I have been on premarin and spiro for over a month now and have seen only very minor changes. my skin has gotten slightly softer, and some very minor breast growth.  i know YMV but ive read that premarin some times is not that effective, so im gonna suggest to my endo that id like to be put on something else.  does this seem reasonable? or maybe im just not patient enough lol. any advice would be great!

Thanks!

Maggie!

im on estradiol oral max dosage and spiro, and i didn't really see any results till about 7-8 months, and not even close to full female results, it takes a very long time to see results

Yeah, it takes a while. I'm on low dose hormones right now and have seen noticeable changes. I have to keep telling myself to be patient--that my journey has just begun.

Sadly a month is but a blip of time, in many ways you're lucky to have even that much change after such a short period. Chances are your endo might review your medication at the next appointment, mine has every time I've gone back. They have to do what is right for your body and the initial dosage is all about priming you, easing you out of T and onto E is actually a delicate biological process. Talk tour endo by all means but have them explain what, if any, difference a change in hormones might make.

the best to do is talk to your endo, it is up to what they feel your body can handle. for my it has been over a month, and i have fair results already. dont get me wrong, alot os probably in my head. but coworkes have started to say that there are some small physicl changes in my face. so take your time follow your dr and the worst that can happen from asking is them saying they dont recomend it.

A month or so isn't enough time to really see much (but some do see changes that fast).  It all depends on your body and what it is doing to react to the meds you are taking.  Your endo is the best one to advise you on any changes that can be made.  That doesn't mean you just listen and nod.  Put your views out there and see what the advice is.  My HRT is managed by my GP and he assumes that I have done my homework and that I will have my own opinion.  He asks me what I want and offers options.  He offered premarin and I declined.  No issue!

I'm in about a month or so as well.  What was your first thought when you noticed breast growth?  Mine was, "No way!  This stuff actually works!!" HAH!

Getting close to 3 months and changes are happening as like the others have said 1 month is only the start.
You're just at the beginning of a wonderful journey.

I go for a run now and have to deal with them bouncing. Definite growth on the boobie front.
While I can hide them under a shirt I know they are there and it's wonderful.

Skin changes and clothes not fitting how they used to are all signs of work in progress.
I love the lack of sex drive now, wonderful and I never want it back how it was.

You have to be patient for the effects with E but they will happen.
So long and thanks for all the fish
