Well, I've done it. I've begun the application process to enroll in seminary. My educational goal is a Master's of Divinity (MDiv) and a Certificate of Sexuality and Religion (CSR), with an ultimate goal of getting ordained in the United Church of Christ.

My pastor has agreed to write one of the letters of recommendation I need, and I'm working with a few others for the other two.

The application deadline is 1 February.

What if they reject my application? What if they accept it?

I'm anxious about both possibilities.

If they accept and you complete it think of the chances to address and educate large groups of people.  :)

Cool Connie. I think you will do well and hope those other 2 letters are forthcoming in time.

That's part of the idea. I see a need in the Christian community to not only serve trans and queer persons like myself, but to educate those who would be our allies.

For the application deadline, I only need to have the commitments from the 3 persons. The seminary will then contact those persons via email for the letters.

Best of luck to you. I think you will do an amazing job as a Pastor.

Best wishes! I agree there is a need there and I applaud you for pursuing this calling.
Call me Dana. Call me Cait. Call me Kat. Just don't call me late for dinner.

Congratulations Constance! Confession: when you told me in September what you were considering, I saw a flash of you giving a homily in your bright vestments. I believe you will never regret choosing to listen to your vocation.

Heh, in bright vestments. Yeah: loud and proud! I can't see any regrets with this either.
