I don't know even how to describe what happened yesterday, nor am I able to for fear of being too graphic...

First, here is a pic of me in my hospital room on, just before release:

So yesterday, Sunday, I had a 10am followup with Dr.Kunaporn, everything checked out OK, he reomoved the last of the sutures and released me, so I decided to go to Patong, not knowing what trouble I would get into (remember though Iam a recovering alcoholic so it couldn't involve alcohol or drugs) so I get off the bus walk down to the beach and I hear hip-hop music blaring from this soccer field/small stadium, I check it out, I don't know how to describe this nor do I understand exactly what it was all about even after spending most of the day there, but the stands are filled with people, mostly women and transwomen, each section bedecked in different color outfits, and all wijh what appeared to be cheerleaders for the various games going on, volleyball, relay races, waterballoon races, etc.

As soon as I enter some woman comes up and grabs my butt and wants a picture with me, then I drift around to the various groups then a group of LBs grab me and want a pic:

After that, I settle in with a group of mostly GG dykes, we danced hip-hop, and got down, I mean really down, grinding down, I wanted to tell my partner, "Pin" to go easy as the cake she was grinding was freshly baked and rather fragile but I couldn't figure out how to say that in Thai, unforatunately I didn't get a pic of "Pin" being too intensely involved to worry about pictures...I thought Pin was fairly femme for  a Tom until she opened a bottle of beer with her teeth! So I spent all afternoon, eating and driniking water, turning down at least a dozen offers to drink beers or shots, all of this didn't cost me  a Baht, the evening topped off with a football match, I said goodbye to my new friends and wandered off to find something to eat and get away from the zany Thai women, really weird but I gather that Thai women think about me the way American men think about petiete Thai and Vietnam women, Vive la difference, how else to explain the several comments about what a great body I have?

Quite an amazing first day out since being released from care.

====================================================================
9am in Phuket, I have a 6pm flight to Bangkok, arrive around 7:30pm then depart 6am, so I will have time to check out Bangkok, plan to hit the dyke bars, Shelas and Vegas cafe...maybe Zeta, based on Thundra's, the women really like me here, I am quite amazed, the men do too, in fact, I found out yesterday why I was getting so many offers for cab rides, I finally accpeted one, asked how much?  He said free, well stupid me, I ound out nothing is for free! Apparently, there are very few boundaries when it comes to touching!

The Tom Noodle Lady told me she loves me, her partner (?) gave me a brochet yesterday, they asked me if I am comiing back next year, I told them "Sure, I will come back to live with them..." They said Ok but I don't think they understood, I definitely could live here, in fact, this sociology prof I met said I culd make a decent living teaching English, the only thing that is worrisome is the political situation but Thailand (Siam) is the only SE Asian country that was able to resist colonization.

I have spent most of my retirement savings to transition but I could live pretty well here just on Social Security, it also appears that I could get a lot of work as a musician, though I have no idea what that pays, if anything but I suspect they actually do have to pay muisicians here!

Wahahahah!   Oh my gad that is so funny!

Yeah, you used to watch the action, and now you are a part of the action!
Betcha feels real good, hunh?  Rock on wit yo bad self.

This is why I plan on retiring over there. It's cheap, and fun as hell. There is always something going on, day and night. Wait until you hit the bars in Bangkok.  ::sheesh::

Yeah I found out the same thing. Viva la difference!  People are much more sexually open over there, at least that was my experience. Thai gals seem to love tall white women as much as I love petite Thai women. It was a match made in heaven. Just be careful. Lots of nasty things that can follow you home if you are not discrete.

And, the taxi ride from hell.  LOL. Too funny.  Thanks for the memories.

Getting ready to go say goodbye to The Noodle Lady, yes, a match made in heaven, think I will go back to the states, learn Thai, work my ass off for a year or two, pay off my bills and come back to stay.

===============================================

Pat, the Noodle lAdy said she will wait for me every day, evry month, every year, to come back, I cried saying goodbye, I am at the Phuket Airport now, better get checked in, see you later, on to Bangkok!-

I am back in the USA, the night in Bangkok was a near disaster as I was held hostage by a cab driver who didn't know how to find any of the palces I asked him to go even though I had the addresses, fianlly he dropped me off at a club way down the list of choices, the club sucked, dark, ear-splitting hip-hop and almost no one there, I wound up at a club next door, a Bangkok Biker Bar! I wound up having a decent time there, but fist I got som dim sum and curried rice where I think I contracted some kind of food-borne illness, I am still sick, I have een in bed since I arived yesterday morning, my laptop died so I have no internet access at home.

I finally got out to go to the bank and cash my $1900 in Travelr's Checks I didn't use, the trip was very cheap, I think I spent less on food than I would have at home, the room was 800 baht about $30 a day but there are cheaper hotels.

All in all, it was a fabulous experience, I am kind of disappointed to be sick on my first days home but I think this bug has finally about to have worked it's way through my system.
