I would like to see the movie version of Conan the Barbarian remade.
But, I'd like to see Dwayne Johnson [the Rock] as the lead and Milla Jovovich as Red Sonja this time. And John Malkovich would be the sorceror Thoth-Amon. Johnson and Jovovich have both proven apt at swordplay, and nobody plays insane like Johnny Malk.
I'd like to see another update of Twilight Zone as a movie again. I'd like to see the Hitchhiker, Mr Dingle, the strong, and A Game of Pool. I'd like to see Sandra Bullock as the intended victim, and Nick Cage as the Hitchhiker. To play Mr. Dingle, I'd want Danny DeVito for sure. And as the pool shark, Tom Cruise playing second fiddle once again to Paul Newmann and playing one last game for keeps.
But most of all, I'd love to see a movie about the StoneWall Rebellion that jump-started the whole Queer Civil Rights Movement. A movie with big name stars like Johnny Depp, Cristopher Walken, and Angelina Jolie in the starring roles that would guarantee that it would find a mainstream audience and be nominated for the AA. Woody Harrelson would be great as a demented cop that abuses the gay community and then gets his ass kicked by a bunch of drag queens, led by, who else, Harvey Firestone. Gene Hackman would be the homophobic chief of police that tries to crush their spirit.
One last remake that might be worth updating would be Butch and Sundance. Brad Pitt and Matt Damon would play the leads.
