Hi everyone I'm having abit of dilemma with picking a FFS surgeon. Though I'd love for Dr MDM or Dr Bart to do my surgeries living in australia makes this a bit problematic due to the immense distances and being able to go to Thailand would honestly be better overall since it is alot closer. However I have little knowledge of Thailand FFS surgeons and was hoping I could get some light shed on them? I know Dr Suporn does FFS but just how good is he or others in Thailand compared to surgeons like Dr MDM, DR O, Dr Bart etc?

Be yourself regardless of what other may think of you. Tis your life not theirs. :)

I'm going to either Thailand or Mexico for FFS. If I go to Thailand, my choice would be Dr. Pat at Tokai Clinic, who is much less expensive than Suporn and Chettawut. I quickly disregarded Suporn for FFS (although he would still be my choice for SRS) a long time ago because I've read very mixed things about his facial work, and none of the post-op patient photos look good to me. Let's put it this way: Whenever people talk about the wonderful work of Suporn, they almost always mean vaginoplasty. When people go to Suporn, it's almost always for vaginoplasty, and if he does their FFS, it's most likely because they're having SRS and FFS together for convenience. Now I'm not saying that he's a bad FFS surgeon, but he's far from the best, and you can get the same results at a lower price from someone else.

If money were no object while still going to Thailand, then Chettawut would be my choice. Assuming that the post-op photos are representative of his results in general, I believe that he's the best. The results seem to be the most natural-looking as well as the most dramatic. For me, it was down to him and Cardenas until I learned about Dr. Pat.

Dr. Pat may not be the best, but he does all of the procedures that I want/need, and the transformations appear to be major enough that I wouldn't feel like I was wasting money on barely noticeable results. The photos look authentic, and the patients look natural. Search elsewhere on the Internet, and you'll find that he does have a substantial fan club. I'm satisfied. So if I can't go to Cardenas, then I would go to Dr. Pat. I may just do that anyway.

With a cursory glance, I'd say that Dr. Bart is on the same level as Chettawut. On the other hand, people have long said that Ousterhout has lost his touch as younger surgeons have taken up his mantle.

I had unsatisfactory result with dr pat. I had tracheal shave, chin implant and rhinoplasty. First two procedure was acceptable but the rhino was not good at all. I went to dr cardenas to have it fixed. IMO dr cardenas result and service was very good, much better than dr pat.

Donna Troy, as I recall, had FFS and BA with Dr. Suporn.  Look at the images she has posted.  She's lovely.

Dr suporn or Dr Bart has produce great result so I think it's a good choice although suporn can be very expensive.

Hi Paige,
I see you are still asking yourself a lot of questions and that's good , you should ask yourself lot's of questions before making a choice. Regarding FFS, I personnally know little to nothing about the Thai surgeons but am sceptical that a GRS specialist can also be in the top bracket regarding FFS. All things equal otherwise, it's a question of practise and surgeons like Dr Di Maggio, Dr Van de Ven, maybe Facial Team in a Marabella and a few others are operating between  and four time every week. I guess the same is true for a few of the US surgeons but at least two of them, Dr O. and Dr S. are considerably more expensive than anyone else.

It is also a question of how comfortable you personnally feel with the surgeon you choose and at some stage you should simply contact two or three of them, send them your photos, get a quote, follow up with questions, get some references you can talk to and then maybe organise  a visit to meet whoever looks best to you at the end of the day.

However, before doing any of that, I suggest you think through the issues that are really important to you eg. what procedures you really want, budget, time required, ability to communicate easily, policies regarding revisions etc...

Best regards
Donna

If you aren't already a member, I'd would visit the FFS Support group, lot's of information there. Well worth the effort to apply and wait for membership.
