Love -- LOVE the makeup on that last one.  Especially the false lashes and the lips.  Still getting the hang of lipliner myself.

Thought I'd post some links to the aforementioned costume.  A little shy, but what the hey.  Maybe you can tell me what you think.

The necklace of keys on the image of the cybergoth girl with the blue hair (previous page) looks completely doable at home.

And Space Pirate, the blue tubing for the hair is rad.  And so are your goggles.

The light blue part actually lights up with flashing LEDs.  Cheap Halloween store prop but it really completes it.

Space Pirate?

Is that like a Ryoko type of thang?

It's...a persona I've used to help reconcile my gender confusion.  Completely my own invention, I made the cyberlox falls in the back (the darker ones).  They're basically strips of tube crin twisted in a knot around two hair elastics.  I like dramatic goth makeup and vinyl and soft gloves, and I love rainbows and glitter.  This was kind of how I managed to get myself out of the closet.

Oh, I see. When I saw "Space Pirate", I thought of Ryoko from the Tenchi Universe series

While an enormous fan of Sailor Moon and many other anime, I never did get around to watching that one.  Rather interesting convergence.

Sadly, my father had a habit of walking into my room when I watched anime growing up, poking his head in, saying "pretty queer," and then walking away.

I wasn't aware of anime back in the day other than a short or two on MTV's "Liquid Television". I was more into stuff like The Get Along Gang, TaleSpin, etc. I got into Tenchi Universe due to the involvement of Sherry Lynn. She was the voice of Sasami on Tenchi Universe and that voice sounded like a slightly older version of Portia Porcupine (the cutie in my avatar) so that was my gateway into that show.

But I remember being 12,13,14 and watching the other aforementioned cartoons and my dork of a dad telling me that I "needed to grow up" but his idea of me "growing up" was to be his tough little jock. ::) Yeah.....right ::) Like THAT was ever going to happen.

Sailor Moon...I wanted to be her.  Well, a slightly more competent and less whiny Moon princess in a leotard, pleated skirt, gloves, and bows.  With magical powers.  And elaborate transformation sequences!

Speaking for myself, I would have settled for Rebecca Cunningham (TaleSpin), but to each their own. :D

I have a heap of Cyberdog clothes... but all from my time in London as a boy.  Fortunately, very unisex!

That stuff is amazing.  Thanks for linking me.  My partner thanks you less because I'm probably going to spend money I don't have there.
