Hi, I'm new ('- ' ) and um... yeah

I guess I should introduce myself, I'm Susanne (well that's not my birth name but I imagine that would be obvious) but you may call me Suzy, or if you're really in the mood to, you can call me Doodle.
My story starts as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a girl, but growing up where I did in a trailer park somewhere in Arkansas up until 2003 I couldn't tell anyone the truth, and so I was raised as a boy... unfortunately. Eventually I tried telling people who I am and of course as closed minded as people are, no one believed me and still to this day, no one does.
I continue to dream about what would happen if I were to be physically female. Deep down I know I'm a girl, but sometimes, due to other peoples doubts and other peoples stories, I sometimes doubt if my mind is in the correct space, and other times, I think about suicide... But I usually get over it and continue my life in this incorrect shell known as my body.
Anyway, that's my story, and maybe I'll be a regular in this forum, depending on how nice this community is.
Trying to get by.

A big warm welcome to the family baby girl! You have found a very special place. We all welcome you with open hearts and wish to help you any way we can. We have quite the family here with strong roots, sturdy branches and a few nuts. Relax and get ready to learn, grow and have some fun along the way. You will find friends very quickly here and spend a lot of time with us. I have to warn you time flies really fast when you are here. It is just that good. Feel free to vent, rant, share the good and find a shoulder to cry on. When you get 15 post's feel free to PM anyone here for anything. It took me about two days to meet some really good friends that I still have here. Here is a BIG HUG ( :icon_hug:) to get you started off right!  :)

Welcome and Hugs Suzy,

Hey, I am a girl too.

There are a lot of wonderful brothers and sisters here to talk to and vent and bounce ideas off-of.

One warning, there is a pack of wild Aussies out there :) Just kidding, the down under part of the family are great.

Hi Suzy,

Welcome indeed, I moved your post to Introductions so you can meet more people.

Hey, Susanne.

For whatever reason, I just felt like I should say hi.  Maybe it's because I wanted to share this part: I found it hard to know who I was when I was scared of what the answers would mean.

Like, I wasn't sure I'm not attracted to guys until I could accept it would be okay if I were.  Which sounds weird, but maybe your mind needs that sort of freedom.

There are tons of places where you can make a life for yourself as out-and-proud, or blend in as an ordinary girl.  The important thing is to take small steps now.  Please share your doubts; we'll tell you when you're crazy and maybe bake Internet cookies or something.

Also, Susanne is a pretty name, and Suzy-Doodle is really cute.

again, I say, thank you everyone for the warm welcomes and all the back breaking squeezes XD

Not sure what's with the Aussie thing Cynthia, Kelly, Jessica, and Cindy were talking about - and I'm not sure I want to >.>

One question though, I can't set a profile image, why is that?

Just friendly pokes at people who drive on the wrong side of the road!*giggles* Here in the States it has been very cold lately and they have been talking about going to the beaches, ARGH. Friendly rivalry that is all. We have a lot of fun together which you will see soon enough. ;D

Hi there from the Canadian prairies!

You have come to one of the nicest places on the net. Pull up a comfy chair, share a laugh, and stay a while.

I think that SuzyDoodle is an adorable name. Reminds me of my son's favourite book series:

Hi Suzy,

Welcome to the family. It's not unusual to doubt yourself. The steps required to fix your condition seem impossible (I know they did to me), so deep down you want to believe everyone else is right and you don't have to transition. If only it were that easy. Contrary to popular belief it's not psychological. Your brain is physically demanding a hormone it's not detecting in quantities it requires. You have a physical need for it like a diabetic needs insulin. Ignoring it won't make it go away.

I believe you, Doodle. We are here to listen and support, not judge. You found a safe place, I promise.

love,
-Maggie
