So I had my second visit to Dr Curtis today in London and he gave me 3 options for diff types of T. I went for the Nebido after he explained all the risks for all three, I'm just wondering why a lot of people opt for Sustanon with higher risks? I feel like even with his explanation I might be missing something, or is it just the price difference?

Or you could be in the US where neither is available.

For me it has been the price, or I would be using Nebido. From what I was told Nebido is slow releasing,  and because of this there are less spikes in hormone levels. This would be preferable for me. But I have to pay 80 euros for one shot, compared to 1-2 euro per shot of Sustanon. Because of this huge price difference I chose Sustanon. 

I think the rationale is that the oils used are fairly common allergens, so that if you are allergic (or become allergic) the reaction could be really extreme.

I'm hoping to be able to get mine through the NHS so the price shouldn't be a problem, but I don't think you get anything like NHS where you are?

Higher risks as in health problems later down the line, and the spike levels as well, and apparently Nebido has fewer side effects but I guess that also depends on the person? I was a little put off about the shots being so far apart but the more I read about it the less it bothers me, I guess when it comes down to it now that I know I'll definitely have T running through my body it doesn't bother me as much how fast the changes happen because I know they are/will be happening.

Nebido isn't licensed for use in America which is probably why you haven't heard of many people using it. It's actually quite common from what I've heard as there's often Sustanon/Ethanate shortages so people don't want to be reliant on that. With the gel it's just too much of a hassle for most people so they don't choose it.

Don't think of it as having less T in you because of the distance between the shots, it's designed to be slow release so that the levels are reasonably consistent throughout. Although Finn on YouTube (finntheinfinncible) has sort of said that it seems like most of his changes happen quickly directly after his shots. It all varies on the person.

Though I know Finn, and his changes are similar to anyone else going on T. But they definitely aren't slower.

Yeah sorry if I didn't clarify that, I meant that his changes are the same as anyone else's, just that he's mentioned that they seem to speed up directly after his shots. Not that they only happened after the shots.

Nebido is fairly popular with the trans* guys here in Australia.  I opted for Primoteston Depo (enanthate) instead just because it was cheaper.  However, since I became a Permanent Resident, I have been thinking of trying Nebido at some stage as it will now be cheaper.  Possibly after my hysto, though - I'm kind of in the mentality of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" - Primoteston works for me and I've had no ill effects. 

I don't really understand what these "adverse effects" of other forms of T are versus Nebido.
