We were having a little discussion over in the fun and games threads and thought we'd throw it out to the masses: Who is the greatest men's hockey player of all time?  >:-)

Gwynne, we all know that Wayne Gretzky is the greatest. ;)
Manchester United diehard fan.

Loved watching the Kings in the early 90s with Gretzky and his enforcer, McSorley.

Too bad they barely missed the Stanley.

... and I'll tell you why. Look at his face! How do you play an entire career as one of the most hated scoring machines and retire looking so darn good?

I'll tell ya.... he's the greatest hockey player of all time!

I agree. Thought you might be swayed by Hasek.

Hasek was great but I think he's a total a-hole.

Wasn't McSorley the guy that got banned from the NHL for hitting Brashear (sp?) in the head with a stick?
Manchester United diehard fan.

Yeah, same. Surprisingly he's a pretty good coach. Wouldn't be surprised if he adds the Jack Adams trophy to his resume.
Manchester United diehard fan.

Bertuzzi used to own a house in Kitchener, where I lived when this happened. He built a ridiculously tall wall around the property to keep out the hecklers after this happened. It's a miracle Moore didn't die on the ice.  :-\

I'm not up on hockey, only 2 names up there are even familiar. Sooo, Gretsky or Orr. I only learned of Orr from crosswords so lets go with Gretsky.
