Hello! So I'm kinda freaking out here. I've been on T for almost four years, been living full time as a man for about the same length of time. I'm in my early twenties, and I haven't had a period for about a year and a half, I use the gel T, and after a night of enduring a really bad stomach ache (I have cold right now, so I thought it was just a stomach ache), I discovered blood when I got up to pee. WTF is going on? Anyone else have this happen to them? I'm freaking out a bit, but I still have to go to class and pretend like nothing is wrong.

Thanks!

I am still pre-t, but I feel for you having to endure bleeding that you have no control over.  I want mine to end ASAP, no cis guy would ever accept having to stick a tampon inside yourself to control bleeding.  Have you called your dr to see what can be done for you?  I want to get all those parts removed someday so that could never happen to me.  Are you going to class in guy mode and have to use the men's room to change?  I am in college and use the men's all the time and have to change tampons in there some months.  I hope it ends quickly for you.

Have you had your T levels checked recently?  If you've gotten hairier the hair can cause problems with how well your body absorbs T gel.  Other than that I don't know, except to say that if you're worried check with your doctor.

Yes it happens. My spouse would go anywhere from a year to almost 2 years with out anything. It happens but for him they where no where near what they used to be pre t. He has been on T for 9 years, but now has had his hysto.

Just try and get through this the best you can.

Yep, it happens, I've heard of it randomly happening to a lot of guys. I'd go to see the doctor just in case, but more than likely, it's just something that took place.

Thanks so much! I am so relieved to hear it happens randomly. For those who have spouses or have had them stopped for awhile, does it happen randomly, or this a regular thing that's back to stay?

And thanks for all the support, guys, I needed that tonight. To answer your questions, yes, I am now lucky enough to live/go to class/be at home in "guy mode" 24/7. I have body hair, some muscles, stubble, a masculine voice and I pass exceedingly well. My roommate is the only person who knows, and he's incredibly supportive and hasn't been bothered by it yet. I'm in studying musical theatre, so I have to dance every night and do ballet two times a week, so I'm worried about having to wear a dance belt (basically a thong) and tights while bleeding (I'll suffer through wearing a pad, but I refuse to stick anything up there). Plus, everyone is close together and touching each other, so I put on black pants, changed improvised toilet paper pads throughout the day, and hoped for the best. I'm hoping it won't get so bad where I have to buy pads, 'cause then there's the sneaking them into the dorm, and having the uncomfortable conversation with the roommate (even though he is supportive and sees me as a man, he's the only person I can really trust here, and I don't need to "push it" just yet).

My body hair's gotten ridiculous lately, and I've been teased about it (I know, we're supposed to be ADULTS, but whatever, I'm self-conscious about it, but I've got better things to be self-conscious about, so it's not a HUGE deal and I digress). I just had a doctor's appointment, and he brushed my body hair issue off as genetic, although my dad seems about average, body-hair-wise. I'm going to school across the country, so I can't go see him, and I can't call him directly.

ghostwhisperer, been busy and didn't get back here for a couple of days.  I hope your bleeding has stopped by now.  You were lucky that you were only dripping and could make a little pad out of toilet paper.  I would be concerned that I would start more and leak out around it.  Have you had to dance this week since it started? How did it go dancing?  Do you wear a little packer to have something to show like a guy in tights?  I don't usually wear a pack as my guy jeans are lose enough that I don't need too. I found two PE courses that I could take where you were not expected to change or shower.  I live by myself so no roommate to be concerned about. Have you had top surgery or are you small enough to pass well with a binder only?  You must feel great living in the guys dorm as a guy with only your roommate knowing.  Being on T with all the great effects you get must make you feel good. I transition here in college and am taken now by most as one of the guys, but anyone can ask one of the older students what is going on with me.  Not a good feeling to wonder who knows what about me.

It's all good. As you can see, I've been busy for quite awhile too. My dance class/normal dancing was okay, and I'm assuming nothing showed. I wear a packer all the time, except when I'm sleeping (although I have done that, when I've had to sleep over, and it was a little uncomfortable). It is fantastic. I've been on T for four years, and I've gotten used to being addressed as a man 24/7 and I get offended if people don't. My roommate is the only one who knows (I told him). He told me that he wouldn't have guessed, but I think other people probably have wondered. I work out a lot, and I do wear a binder except when I sleep, and I wear a baggy thick fleece shirt or a baggy tee shirt to sleep in, and he knows I haven't had surgery yet and that I'm not happy about having sacks of leftover mammary tissue hanging from my chest, so he doesn't discuss it unless I do. I don't like when people touch my chest without permission, but so far, I don't think anyone's notice. I've had someone jokingly smack my chest and comment, "dude, why's your nipple in a weird place?", but I don't think they ever worked out why. I've been very lucky. Do you bind? College is amazing, but I may have to drop out due to my no longer having the financial means to pay or secure a second-year-loan.

Best of luck with your college experience and thanks for your replies! :)  ;D

Good to hear from you. Glad your little situation of break through bleeding ended without you needing to do anything.  You are lucky to have such an understanding and kind roommate. How did you find him?  You must be have a well fitting packer and be confident with it staying in place to wear it for dancing with all the movements you do.  I have a packer but don't always wear it. I bind, have binders and several sports bra vests too.  In the winter when I can wear hoodies my chest is much less a problem. The hot summers is when I have problems.  The guy who commented on the location of your nipples, got a good feel of your chest to feel where your nipples are located; I wouldn't have liked that at all.  Top surgery after starting t will be the first thing I have done when I get the money.  College is expensive I just make it most most months.
