So ill keep it brief

Or try to

Im starting T in march and of course i have a list a mile long to take care of beforehand.

But one thing im thinking of is saving my eggs. Zygotes whatever you call em.

Have any ftms done this? How do you go about retrieving them and where do they end up? In a freezer? Some bank or something?

I only feel i should do this because im only 19, the idea of a family has crossed my mind, the assurance that i got a means of doing that. I just have no idea what to do or what it entails.

You should absolutely do this! One day you may want a family and it is much better to have them and not use them than to not have done it and be forced to adopt. It'll really depend on your and your partners situation. You don't have to have the world all figured out, but a direction and sticking with your choice will bring you liberation.

Albeit a little older, here is an article on CNN for you

Oh dang thats expensive...

Ill have to speak with my parentals about it too. Im in college i dont exactly have 6500$ minimum lying around.

Ill have to do more research to see if the cost of this procedure has been reduced or something.

BeefxCake, in order to harvest your eggs you will have to go on female hormones to get your body to produce additional eggs so there will more than one egg to harvest at a time.  From the story I have read this is not a comfortable time for women who want to have there eggs harvested.  I for one don't want any additional female hormones injected into my body and then not feel good for weeks before the actually harvesting can be done.  Just something to think about too.  I willn't even take hormones to make the periods easier now.

yeah I read that, kind of turned off that idea for me. i personally don't have the money right now, not to mention even if I did get my eggs it would mean i would still have to find a donor for sperm if me and said future wife wanted kids, might as well use her eggs.

the idea was good in concept but i probably won't do it.
