When you were still pre everything or if you like me, are still pre-T... did or do you not shave your arms and legs? Did you grow body hair before going on testosterone?

I'm still in the closet for the most part, and I've never shaved my body hair. I don't know if it seems gross because I'm basically still 'female' but my arms and legs are pretty hairy and I like it that way. It helps me pass better as a guy when I wear short sleeved shirts and shorts.

No Ive never shaved my arms or legs or armpits, I know I'm a guy and guys don't really shave especially in highschool. My friends even told that it would be weird if I shaved because guys don't do that......

I know plenty of guys who shave their bodies and/or pluck their brows and yes they're straight cisguys.

Mr Hockey, my mother forced me as a child to shave because "Do you want the boys to laugh at you?!" but as soon as I got away from her, I let the natural hairiness have free reign. I'm happy to be quite hairy.

Yeah, my mom always gets on me about shaving but I never do it. I'm fine with being hairy as well.

Mostly it's my arms and legs though. I don't have any armpit hair or chest hair. I've got a little bit of sideburns coming in. I'm sure once I go on T, I'll grow some more. :)

I never shaved but then again a vast majority of my body hair is blond so it was hard to see it anyway.

I'm friends with several other athletes of varying sports and its common to shave some body hair. My armpit hair is always shaved or cut very short as it helps with oder when sweating. During sporting events its not uncommon for athletes to not shower immediately and I may go several hours from my first event to when I finally am able to get a chance to shower. Guys that have a lot of hair on their chest, stomach or back tend to shave for hygienic reasons and some sports it actually is a benefit to doing so.

Most people have body hair, it's just a matter of how fine or coarse it is. Some cis girls and cis women are under the impression they're freakishly hairy and need to shave all over to "look normal", when their body hair is easily within normal range. It's kinda messed up.

I'm pre-T and almost all my body hair is fine, and I don't shave. It rarely came up anyway, since I don't wear shorts or sleeveless shirts.

I am pre everything and I actually never shaved before (except my upper lip because I hate facial hair) and don't intend to either but not because most guys don't shave either. To put it short, I put up with A LOT of teasing from people whenever I wore shorts.
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

Since I'm still in the closet to most people, I get teased for wearing shorts too around my friends and family. They still know me as a girl and tell me I should shave because girls aren't supposed to be hairy.

Hence why I said other guys don't really shave not none of them. All my straight guy friends don't shave it's just an example.

I used to shave my arms and legs when I was still trying to be a girl.  Now that's finally done with, I only shave my pits because I find it uncomfortable otherwise.  However, this past summer I didn't wear shorts because of that since I wasn't out and I wasn't willing to shave either. But really, I shoulda just gone ahead and worn shorts. I wouldn't think it odd to not shave pre-T or even pre-coming out.

I normally just shave my armpits because when it gets a bit longer, it gets really uncomfortable and irritates me, it gets all prickly and chafes too. But, since I'm not out of the closet at the gym where I take krav maga and that's normally the only place my underarms are seen, shaving also helps reduce the risk of the guys there asking questions.

So far, I haven't had any hair grow under my arms. I have a little bit of psoriasis on my pits, which my mom has, and I'm wondering if that's the reason why.

I never heard of shaving arms when I was younger. I tried the  legs pits thing a few times. It wasn't worth my effort and never did that again.

When I was pre-everything, I used to shave when I was at school and even after I graduated.  I did it so that I wasn't seen as "gross" since I had no hope of passing back then.  Once I left school (and the workforce), I stopped shaving and didn't care what people thought.  Like you, I figured it helped me to pass better.

I get dark, course hairs on my chin and on my breasts. I'm not sure why and they're sparse, but they keep on coming in. It reminds me of when I started developing the beginning of a happy trail. After a few years, it's still just six or seven dark course hairs under my belly button that appear to have gotten lost and can't find their way down south. Don't know what's up with that, but I'm hoping it is a good sign for my beardly prospects whenever I start T.

I didn't grow a lot of body hair pre-T but I did shave it because my parents made a big deal about being presentable.  I kept shaving fairly regularly even after I left home for college and stuff but once I decided that I was unhappy as a girl I stopped shaving except for my face(shave your face even if you don't have facial hair, you don't want that peach fuzz that girls and kids have.)

If I grow chest hair I'll probably shave it.  I don't have the genetics for lots of hair so it won't be much to look at anyway.

I'm pre everything also and I don't shave. I used to shave my legs in my mid teens but mostly because I'm weird and I liked that prickly feeling when the hair starts to grow back lol but now that I'm 22 and looking into starting my physical transition I've stopped and let my hair grow.

I don't know what friends you're talking to but I've never encountered a guy in my age group (16-21) that thought shaving body hair was weird. Most of the bio males I know shave their torsos. Many guys just don't like to be hairy, especially athletes, and to be honest the only place I really see this obsession with being as hairy as possible is in the ftm community.

Personally I've always shaved my armpits because I sweat like an animal and I don't need excess hair holding in that stink.
