For the most part, mine's not visible. However I do worry that as I lose weight it will become prominent, so that's a worry in the back of my mind. On the other hand I've seen GGs with just as much of one and nobody has seemed to notice. I think people pretty much just look at my face and that's it.
I've never seen a GG with an adams apple. Being so thin, bones in her neck show isn't the same as an adam's apple.
Ever wonder why it's called an
adam's apple? Because Eve doesn't have one.

ok, so what do you think? need one or not?
It's questionable. I don't believe you are on HRT yet. When you start HRT, there is a small layer of fat that gets thicker just under the surface of all your skin. Plus quite a bit of fat tends to accumulate in the neck and face. It's possible that the fat would be enough to hide it. I think that's the main reason you can't see mine. I'd have to look at some old pics of myself to be sure though. If it doesn't get hidden, then I would probably suggest getting the TCR (Thyroid Cartilage Reduction). As I drop in weight, I still don't know if mine will become too visible or not. If so, I may end up getting one myself. I do hate how muscular my neck is though.
At least it hasn't affected me passing...then again I've seen some GGs with muscular necks too. I try to draw attention to my face (or chest) so nobody looks there.
I'm seeing some misconceptions here. Not to pick on anyone, just trying to dispel certain myths about the female anatomy.
Yes, women have an extra layer of fat. However, men are the ones who put weight on their neck and chin.
Men put weight on their gut, love handles, back, under the chin and neck.
Women put weight on their hips, ass, thighs, lower belly, and cheeks.
Women's facial fat goes to their cheeks, not the neck and chin (unless she's really huge).
Even women who are a little overweight tend to have slender necks in comparison to a male the same size.
There are always exceptions to every rule, but generally that's the way it goes. And the exceptions to this are women with male fat patterns.
I swear you'd think people have never seen a woman before.
