People who see me everyday hardly notice anything...

people who have more than a month to see me but dont know Im transitioning comment saying that I ve changed and that I ve lost weight (even though i havent)...

My therapist whom I saw a week ago after a month said that Ive changed a lot and that my face looks more feminine and someone may think  that Im a girl.

Well that's hard to day because you never know what people are thinking and your better off when you don't worry about what other people are thinking. In my case I couldn't tell you when people started to notice and I never really tried to hide it since starting hrt. They noticed all my other appearance changes before they noticed my hormonal changes. But it's been my experience that most won't say anything unless you tell them then they'll let you in on what they were really thinking the whole time. Most will just talk about it behind your back and don't have the courage to say anything to your face.

Most said I was just happier, more comfortable with myself and much nicer to be around. I did go Full Time way ahead of schedule though so I don't know much more than that. :)

Nobody said anything until I came out, but I did catch several people staring at my chest.

I've always been able to be on friendly terms with most women and they seem relaxed and open towards me, this last few months I find that has become even more noticeable.

Many issues have changed and been noted
most is how I handle or react to people during high stress situatons, many comments on how I can stay calm and focused which is really helping defuse the situation
(very not normal for me)
skin condition and texture, length of hair, and nails
one of the boys that I have worked with for over 15 years, yesterday after staring for several minutes ask what is different, he said he could not peg it but something is really changed
(had to kind of shrug it off as HR and I agreed to wait until next Wednesday for announcements and full time for ever after)
my boss has committed on how I really listen better and when I do reply it brings advancement or value to the discussion, that came out in my yearly evaluation
still a work in progress for me.
My SG first notice was my bathroom cupboard filling with facial creams, she missed the shaved legs and underarms for 9 months even during the summer
, lol then the closet filling with my new clothes and the boy clothes filling the trash
one day, one step, with grace it will be forward today

Usually it is the skin that is the first thing that changes when you are on HRT. For MTF's it goes from the greasy hard skin to a much softer type. The face changes slowly and most people won't notice that much for at least 5-6 months. This of course depends on your dosages and genetics.
The thing that most people will notice fairly quick is that your mood will get a lot better and you will be more positive towards your daily life.

I have to say I love the way E (and low T) makes me feel. I am so much happier, cooperative and positive.

I have had people that I have known for decades stand next to me and walk by me  and never recognize me as long as I don't speak ,thats a dead give away. This was happening before I started HRT on Christmas  Day.

The first thing people noticed was my voice.  I just started manipulating it and when asked I told them that I was increasing vocal range for a play.  I've been using it now since mid-November and everyone has just adjusted to it and thinks its my normal voice.  Though I was talking to a few tech reps to fix a hospital problem yesterday, and they both thought I was a girl but knew my name was Joshua. It confused them, but they kept making comments like girl, she, her... when conversing. For example ( I just got done talking to my manager Joshua and he says that "she hasn't troubleshot the problem well enough and go over it again with her").  Now is this something I'm going to expect now, I've never had my technical skills questioned before, but now that they thought I was a woman I couldn't have done it properly??? I thought that was pretty fantastic for one part, but crummy for the second part.

The second thing people noticed was my clothing has changed at work.  I used to come in everyday with oversized plain clothing which made me look pretty big when I'm really not (5'7 at ~120lb).[Attempting to gain some weight right now] So going with the more feminine clothing has been much more form fitting and has shrunk my appearance. A lot of people have commented on how skinny I am or if I've lost weight.

I've only been on HRT for around 1 month now, but people are commenting on how I seem happier and "Cuter" in the way I act etc (which is a very strange thing to hear from your male friends).

I have always been a bit of an extrovert anyway, so apparently people are noticing the changes in my body movement and mannerisms already.

I'm looking forward to more changes though :D
You say "Using humor as a defence mechanism" like it's a BAD thing!

Happier, mostly is what they say. I lost a bit of weight over the first few month of my transition and everyone was saying I looked "better" I am not out to most if these people yet so that is a plus for me that they can see I am better.
Ran into a friend I hadn't seen in 4 months and his comment was something like "wow you look great, 5 years younger. Everyone who gets out of here [old job] looks younger the next time I see them"  job wasn't bad, a little stressful but I didn't think it caused me to much stress.
Byes!!!! It's been real but this place isn't for me. Good luck in the future everyone.
