Transvestites out there? Where do I post? (I'm new)

Dana

I'm a man who perfers to be a male during daily life (work, family, etc), but for my sexuality, I need to fantasize myself as a woman with a woman. When I was thinner I would secretly dress up and fantasize this. I don't dress now because of my size, but I still need these visuals in order to have any intimacy at all. I don't share this with my wife anymore, as she is appauled by the idea of me wearing women's clothing. I also much prefer for her to keep her clothing on during intimacy.
A close friend of mine says that I'm a transvestite (transvestic fetish-autogynephelia), and I think she's right.
I have a lot of questions, and just can't find a place to ask them, or anyone like me for that matter! Can anyone help? Thank you,
Dana

Hi Dana,
Pleased to meet you. I'm relatively new here myself so I'm open to correction, but I think it would be appropriate for you to post under Transsexual talk: Male to Female Talk (MTF). Maybe one of the moderators will come in with some advice for you on this one.
Best wishes to you, Louise

Welcome and hello, Dana!

I'm happy you found us ad decided to join up.  We have no strict rules on where to post things.  Just put them wherever you think the subject would fit best.  If you go past the loose placement standards that we keep a moderator will help you find a more appropriate location.

Please take a few moments, if you haven't already, to visit and read our Terms of Service at https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,2.0.html  We keep a firmer grip on these issues to keep Susan's safe and comfortable for everyone.

And please avail yourself of the whole site.  While the forums are a wonderful place to read about people's personal stories and opinions, the Links pages give directions to other places on the web that have safe information about trans issues.  Our Wiki is stuffed (and growing) with factual information about the whole transgendered experience and visiting our Chat is an excellent opportunity to interact on a real time basis with people who can truly understand what you are going through.

I'm happy to make your acquaintance, Dana, and hope we'll be seeing more from you real soon.

Welcome Dana. In addition to what Emerald said, we also have a sexuality forum if the topic is of a sexual nature.

Hi, Dana and welcome.

If you want to really explore what's going on in your life, you could also see a gender counselor.  He or she could help you to discover who you are.

We have lists of gender counselors/therapists by location in our Medical Links.

Welcome Dana!!

Have a look around and make yourself comfortable.  I'm sure you'll find what you need.  I think a lot of times, the most important thing is knowing that there are others like us.  No need to feel alone.
