I grew up Mormon and trans* in Utah. It didn't work out so well for me. I felt unaccepted by my community and family, and attempted suicide at 14.

I wondered what others experiences were with the Mormon faith and how it worked out for you?

I left the LDS faith in my early 20's.  The overwhelming majority of my mother's side of the family still is.  She has, so far, been the only member of my family to outright refuse to accept me due to the strictures of the LDS faith.  I do love bringing up how intersex people don't fit into 'god's perfect plan' either in those arguements ^^;
