Like watching paint dry.

You can't see it happen. (Though I got all my breast growth in about 3 weeks. After that, nothing). Then you look at yourself a year from now and see how much you've changed.

I tried to keep busy (which wasn't hard, considering I was engineering a change in gender and all that entails in my life).
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

God yes. I use to big my parents about this every day when I started them in school. To the point when in the mornings they would see me coming and say ,"not now just wait!"

Hi Anita,

Given the fact it takes genetic females years to both physically and mentally develop, don't expect anything different. This is not an over night project. Yes it does take years.

I know that's true but i still find it so frustating that the real me is still trapped in this wrong body i am bursting to spread my proverbial wings so to speak .sometimes I feel that I would like to go to sleep and stay that way untill it's all done LOL

Hi Anita,

Pardon my semantics, but who's body were you expecting to be in?

Sorry, I've never subscribed to that particular myth. The body I was born in was the only one available at the time. Unfortunately it came complete with a few imperfections which were later corrected.

As you know, transition is all about attitude. Please don't sleep through your transition, otherwise you'll miss the most major part to it. Transition is all about what's happening between your ears, not between your legs, (or any other body part for that matter)  as frustrating that may be.

My total physical transition hormone wise from where I was to where I am today took a good 7-9 years. My endo said 7-10 years and he was right. It starts off quick and then slows down, and then it's real slow after that but there is still changes just smaller and smaller ones. I did feel a got an extra kick of development after my Srs surgery from the lack of not having to suppress testosterone anymore. Hope that helps.

a watched pot never boils.

I tried to focus on other aspects of my life, like voice, style, improving makeup technique and just living life.....it made the time go by faster....

this is it right here.  staying busy is the key as it makes time pass faster.

working on voice, makeup technique, feminizing your walk, body language and gestures and tendencies all help as well.

I am the opposite. I want to slow down. I feel like time is flying by so fast I'm missing out on life. Not my HRT stuff, just in general. I sometimes can not believe how much time has passed.
