Checklist to start HRT

Hello girls,

So I think I am about ready to start HRT, my check list is about complete, and I just thought that maybe I should ask for some kind proof-reading, maybe I forgot something important ? Am getting exited and nervous, this seems so clooooose....!!
-Spermbank
-Good health
-Really wanting to do it
-Informed about risks and possible complications
-Blood tests
-Referral letter
-Experienced endo and psy
-Stable source of revenue
-Extra Budget for: HRT monthly costs, continuous clothing purchases, possible FFS loan, medical check ups and blood tests, proper diet...
-Insurance

What am I missing?

Don't forget to take a list of any meds you are on to the Endo appointment. Other than that it sounds good. :)

Think you have done some homework. Good for you and i wish you well on your path.

It is going to be all up hill for sometime but it will get to the happy place in time.

Hahahaha thanks for the thoughts and good wishes :). The happy place sounds fun, what about the uphill part? I've heard that a lot but never too many details, like what? Like the process feeling way too slow at times, feeling down sometimes for no reason, or what?

Puberty is awkward for most people. It will take time to adjust, to learn to blend into society, the changes can be painfully slow. And yes, there will be some BAD days.

But for most, if HRT is right for you, you will be greeted by a lasting euphoria. Take the opportunity to learn to dwell on the positive since we are all practiced in dwelling on the negative. Practicing positivity will make those bad days temporary breaks between mostly great days, instead of an invitation to return to dysphoric Hell.

Am good at doing exercice and eating healthy, I hope that can speed things up: do a lot of resistance training for waist/bottom area, cardio, eat lots and lots of food rich in what is necessary for me... and so on and so forth would help speed things up... Do you think that could help? If I think about the development a cis-girl with healthy lifestyle does versus unhealthy, I think it should help...

The effects of HRT will take time. First they need to be in the range of your target gender.

Second, look back on how long your puberty lasted, this time it will take twice as long.

Hrt tries to make changes in the way your body and brain act. Changes come in spurts more then all or nothing.

You need to be in it for the long haul. Not everyone responds good to cross hormone therapy but others have great changes.

Each is there own.

Transition is a very long journey, changes are made over time and adjusted to as needed. Same days its all sunshine and others it is all stormy and dark. Try and keep your path in the sunshine.
