Actually 10-2 was the "last" (single player) squaresoft Final Fantasy even though the US release was under the squeenix logo because it was completed before the merger happened and the US version after it.

That explains a lot. X-2 was the last one I liked.

By the way, I finally listened to it and really enjoyed it.  I hope you get around to doing a few more.  Especially "Eyes on me" and "Succession of witches". 

God, the games soundtrack is incredible.  Even to this day, I tear up whenever "Eye's on me" plays.  The ending with Laguna and Raine together in the field with his proposal that flashes to him standing over her grave is so sad.  I'm tearing up just thinking of it.  That's why these games are so great.  They really make you feel and care about the characters and their plight.  I know everyone complains about the plot and the character development, but I can't help but feel they are missing something so special.   Oh well, we all have things that mean a lot to us.  No one can take away my love for this game.

I never played 13 or 12, but I've heard many people say this.  To be honest, ten was the last one I got around to.  In any case, I really need to give them a shot even if they are controversial.
