No, it isn't hormones! It's even earlier than that.
I've started dieting today! I am 5'11 and 193 pounds, and I wanna get down to 150 pounds within the next 6 months. That's a reasonable expectation, because it's a 43 pound loss. That's 7 pounds a month, or 1.4 pounds a week. Not too difficult! I have a pretty good plan to do all this as well:
What I did:
1. Ate lots of desserts with sugar every night.
2. Drank soda with dinner every night.
3. Never did any physical exercise at all.
4. Never ate anything too nutritious.
5. Ate a lot during each meal.
What I will do:
1. Eat no dessert with sugar, I'll just have an orange or yogurt instead.
2. Drink water with dinner every night.
3. Every day during my 7th period study hall, I'll do light cardiovascular exercises in the weight room, as well as using the bicycle and treadmill.
4. I'll start eating a lot more fruit and yogurt than I was before.
5. I'll eat smaller portions of healthier foods.
I started today by getting a pass from my gym teacher that says every day during my 7th period study hall, I can use the weight room. I plan to do light cardio there, as well as using the bicycle and treadmill. I start tomorrow!
Also today, there was a root beer bottle on the table for dinner, so I saw it and put it away, and chose water over it. Then I ate some Brussels sprouts which I never do, and finally, I totally skipped dessert tonight and will instead eat an orange in its place. Even earlier, during lunch, I ate a small portion, and instead of buying chocolate-y snacks like I usually do, I bought a cup of yogurt with blueberries in it. I plan on buying low-fat yogurt along with some granola bars at the store soon as snacks.
To enforce the removal of unhealthy foods and the eating of healthy foods in their place, I'm also gonna get some low-sugar chewing gum to carry around with me to suppress my urges for eating anything more fattening. I will also eat more eggs, beans and fish, which all contain a specific amino acid which actually dulls one's craving for sugar!
Since I can't get hormones just yet, I figured I might as well start taking steps to achieve the body I want.
Do you guys have any advice? What should I do concerning the fat redistribution when I start hormones, based on my height and weight?
