Hey there,

It's about time to planify with whom I'll be taking FFS, and I was not sure about who would be the best option. So far my options would be with Facial team in Brazil or Spain, Dr. Cardenas in Mexico or Dr. Bui in France. I have easy access to those countrys, and have heard mostly good things about these doctors. There is a budget difference in their proposals of about a few thousands bucks, but maybe there is a good reason to it. Would anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance.

Hi there, I'll just chime in for a tiny bit here and toot my horn.

I'd tell you that whichever location is closest, offers the best quality, and best reviews would be your best bet.
You of course already know this, but it is imperative you are completely trusting and dedicated to your surgeon.

Go ahead and make sure your lodging during your stay is sorted out, compare it with different places, get with some girls who have gone to them.

Make sure you prospective surgeons have a very clear and up to date portfolio of their work they can present to you.
You are going to want to see first hand what they can do, their before and after.
Ask about their complication rates with their techniques.
Sinus complications on forehead work can happen even with the best and you want to avoid it as much as possible, if you're considering that.

Make sure they can offer you all their valid credentials, the more the better, make them convince you they can do what you need to.
If there is a lack of confidence on their part or unsatisfactory information, red flags, move on.

I'd recommend a curriculum vitae to pour over to see what they've dabbled in and accomplished or are currently leading in.

I personally went to Dr. Zukowski and I could and would go on and on about him, but this is about you and not me!

Much love and keep us updated.
Keep your standards high.

That's a lot of questions, and I haven't asked all of them. Thank you. Am not sure what to do anymore, as my 3 options all seem of good quality, though FT and Dr. Bui are more expensive, it gets a bit confusing. I've heard in this forum a lot of testimonials about Dr. Cardenas but little to none about Facial Team and Dr. Bui, anyone some thoughts? I guess more research is in order.

Yeah Dr C and his team were cool. I really enjoyed the recovery center though. I are like a pig

You are asking a very difficult question. It really depends on your expectations. Every doctor delivers different results, and you must find the one who matches your expectations.
I know that Dr Cardenas is a very good doctor with many happy patients, and he has done some amazing work on some members here at susans.
When it comes to the facial team, I never even thought about going there even though I live in Europe. I am not saying they are bad but somehow I didn't like them.
Dr Patrick BUI, I don't have an opinion about him. I tried to find some french forums about plastic surgery and nobody has reviewed his work first hand, or I didn't find one...
Girlfriend, it is your face, do an extensive research, make sure who do you go to and what will you get before making the decision.

Yeah, talk about subjective. I always admired the work of Dr Bart van de Ven of Belgium, but I also liked Zukowski. Thing is their work looks quite different though, they both have differing esthetic tastes, but they both align with things I think look good. Just like I generally didn't really like the things I saw from Dr. Spiegal that doesn't mean he isn't a good FFS surgeon but I just don't like the look too much.

It is your face, you only have one, and some things are harder to revise than others, keep that in mind for the procedures you get. If I had an infinte budget I would go Dr. Bart Van De Ven.
