So I was working on a gofundme page and looking up costs for certain things. Found this in my bookmarks: http://www.diytestkits.com/testosterone-test-home-blood-testing-kit-zrt-labs-p-194.html

What's the point of this? Can you use it in place of the super expensive blood work they take prior and after starting hrt?  I'm thinking not.... but didn't want to write it off completely since I don't really know. I'm looking for any way I can save money right now and that'd be quite convenient.

Personally, I wouldn't trust such a test and I wouldn't take any chances with my health. My opinion.

Ayden

DIY hormone tests should not be used in place of medical blood work and I doubt any reputable medical professionals would accept them. The blood work that we have done monitors a heck of a lot more than just T levels.

I believe Ayden is right on this! Very few "at home" tests are accurate. I think maybe you can count them on one hand or so. And also it is usual to get tests for: liver function, cholesterol, red blood count, etc. My doctor had me retake a cholesterol test because it was done with a "stick test" and she said they weren't accurate.
