Invading your forum, hope its ok. Ya, guys definitely don't talk much in the bathrooms. If there is a line to use the toilet or urinal, there might be some talking, or if its a bar and people are drunk, as liquor loosens everyone up, but if not, def not much talking.

As for urinals, hate them. I won't use one unless I'm bout to pee myself, would rather wait for stall to open. Really is no privacy, someone next to you could look over and see everything if they wanted to; I just find that horrifying.

As for being "caught" in one, I don't think guys would mind much, if at all. They'd prolly think it was pretty cool and ballsy lol. I'd prolly avoid using the urinals tho if you're not a pro at using it, or if that bathroom is busy or if you have a "neighbor" using it next to you lol.

I haven't been read as female in years, I am legally male with state and fed, I have had top surgery, and I have a full beard from five years of T. Yet an acquaintance was recently surprised that I use the men's room.

I'd like to use the men's eventually except everyone at work thinks I'm a girl... awkward that would be.

I remember one of the last times I used the womens room, I didn't think that I passed as male yet. I was at the airport, used the womens room and on my way out I passed a women going in. She stopped in her tracks, backed up to look at the sign to make sure she was going in the right one, then looked between me and the sign a few times before she finally walked in. Then down in the baggage claim I stopped to find something in my bag and I hear "sir... sir... excuse me sir... ". As I didn't think I passed yet, it didn't even dawn on me that they were talking to me. Then I see the person on my side say "sir can I help you with anything?" I actually had to laugh at myself for not realizing they were talking to me.

Anyways, the first couple times to use the mens room is the hardest because you don't know if you pass or what to really expect. And it feels awkward using what had been considered the "wrong one" your whole life up until then.

Funny thing the last time I used the women's room was at the airport too. I felt so self-conscious. So I stopped. I was rather in between looking and was only passing 50% or so. I figured men would have less problem with this. I have never been questioned.

I'm the odd one out here then in that I feel slightly safer in airport toilets, because I can keep one hand on my passport, and thus "proof" that I should be there. Of course, I shouldn't really, but needs must when you're with people who are still under the impression that you're female. I hate airports though because it's almost impossible to avoid them with the length of time you're there.

In public I very rarely use them, but when I do I can almost never guarantee enough that I'll not bump into someone I know, so I dont dare use the men's. At work it's obviously still the female ones for me (I can't disappear somewhere out of the way because I'd get the Navy wondering why I was snooping around one of their buildings!), even then, because another company shares our building if I spot someone else in the toilets I look underneath the dividers to check which companies boots are there and won't come out again unless they're one of us. Back in the accommodation it's okay as people know not to challenge me. Unless there's a guest in, funny story, someone's girlfriend was staying over night, I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth and realised it was her in the cubicle. I shot into the cupboard the exact same second she walked out of the cubicle and I didn't dare come out again until I was sure she was gone.

Jay, so true, men don't care or look that closely at who is coming in or in the restroom as women do. Confident is the best way to use the the men's, just go in and do your thing and everything will be fine.  I have never been questioned or even looked at that I know of while using the men's.

Truth!  That was when I switched to the men's room: women began to follow me around to ask me if I knew if I was in the right restroom.

I was kind of nervous too at first: I made sure to locate bathrooms that weren't busy until I built up my confidence.  The thing is, guys don't talk to each other, and hardly look at each other when in the bathroom.  If you are viewed as male more than half the time, you're probably going to survive the cursory glance anyone gives you.

Anyone heard of the Mr. Fenis?  It's pretty cheap and more effective than medicine spoons imo.  Not good enough to use at a urinal though, it's too soft to poke through underwear.  Does anyone here have experience using a urinal?  I'm curious/slightly envious lol.

I think many of us have or do use urinals. Maybe not all the time but often. I haven't had an issue though I prefer the ones that have dividers between urinals such as Kwik Trip stations.

I have never used an urinal; I a not confident that my STP will not leak.  I can use it in the shower, but with my jeans up and using it through the fly I can't get the end low enough to have pee run out and still keep a good seal so it leaks and makes a mess. LordKAT how are you successful with a STP?

I've been using the mens room for about 5 years now and since I just got an STP maybe a month ago the majority of that time has been spent sitting down. I've ever been questioned and never gotten weird stares so if anyone has had any suspicions they definitely didn't care.

I used the womens room once a few years ago and it was a terrible experience. I was stared at through the crack in the stall door, whispered about, and followed out when I left.

I find a medicine spoon works very well, attached to a packer, it is a breeze.

I can't make one work for me, LordKAT.  My urethra opening seems to be to low down and my jean zipper doesn't go down far enough that I get the pee to flow out of the STP.  I have tried all of my jeans and have even tried wearing them a little lower on my hips too, with no success.  I can make it work if I unsnap my jeans and pull them down a little.

I ended up getting a peecock which I know is a bit expensive but it works pretty well for out of the pants without much fiddling or anything.  I've been having a hard time getting it to work with my anatomy without leaking but I haven't practiced much either.  As for restrooms, it's tricky.  I'm only partly out to a select handful of people but they would not be ok with me in the men's room either.  Having said that, I'm really uncomfortable in the women's room.  If I absolutely have to go I'm careful with not being seen going in/out or while in there.  It seems I pass well enough in other people's POV for it to be a potential problem.  I've actually made it a point to not drink for several hours before going anywhere if I can help it, even if I'm really thirsty.  Avoiding restrooms altogether seems to be the easiest thing to do so far lol.

I did some traveling recently, and was pleasantly surprised to find that there are gender-neutral "family" bathrooms in a lot of the airports--more so than I remember, anyways. That's one situation that's improving, at least!

I hope this isn't too personal of a question, but how do you use the medicine spoon packer at the urinal without taking your pants down or being obvious?

Some guys use a packer with a medicine spoon or other STP built into it. If the packer is somewhat realistic a guy can use a urinal by poking the packer out of the pants. I'm not sure how but guys really don't look around much in the men's room anyway. I have heard of some guys using STPs without packers and doing this. I think they are rather brave. But I have to say, I never have seen anybody look at me at all funny. I do use a stall and sit down though.

I may do it different than others, but what I find work well to stay stealth is to leave the tube slightly longer out the back of the packer or prosthetic, then the receptacle can sit lower where it needs to be without having to reposition the rest of your junk. Just move the receptacle (spoon, nipple, etc) lower where needed and all set, just looks like you're holding onto the base of your penis while you're really just pressing the receptacle in the correct place with a couple of fingers.

I can't make medicine spoons work properly either, unfortunately, I tried multiple times a day for weeks before giving up on using one. I ordered a Mr. Fenis that has a much larger opening/cup, and have no problems with that, but I still have to  lower my pants and underwear a bit to use it so I go into a stall... So still on the market for an ideal STP.

Thanks for the tip, overdrive, I'll keep that in mind when I find a better STP.
