Yes, I dislike the whole sir & ma'am thing. I think it puts a wall between people. But, today somebody gave me a sincere-sounding "ma'am." It made my heart soar.

It is a great feeling. Has happened to me may, many times.

The first time it happened to me I did not realize that it was referring to me lol.... Duh!

I know isn't it just the best!  It's kinda nice to get "mis-gendered".  Earlier this week my wife and I went shoe shopping.  I was in male mode.  We found some great bargains and I got a cute new pair of shoes.  Best part is when we went to pay the clerk said "did you ladies find what you wanted?"  When we got to the car I said to my wife "did you notice she called us ladies".  She smiled and said "I'll bet you loved that didn't you?"  And I did.
