A TG colony dream

Hi,

I would like to go to some secluded spot and establish a town for TG people and those who understand us.  I was thinking if I had money, I would a huge chunk of land and establish a town there.  People could come from all around and be accepted.  Maybe once the town grows, we could try to establish a state or country.
We could live our way.  Citizens could come from around the world to live there and then take off if they find they are ready to go back to the old world because of jobs or hobbies or school or whatever.
The children straight and TG would all be taught about possibilities, alternatives, and tolerance.
People could dress or present as they damn well please.

Anybody got any money?

A whole trans state, province, country, continent or perhaps even planet would be cool... any and all genders welcome  ;D

Maybe we can overthrow the community that's on Nantucket Island an settle there.  then we can be the TGs from Nantucket.  Hee hee

Purchasing an island would be pretty cool.  Some people like mountains, though.  I wonder if we could just squat (no double entendre intended) in the Rocky Mountains?

Hawaii, an island with mountains. A reasonable compromise  ;D

That is the most excellent choice that could possibly be made.

Grass skirts are plentiful and great music too! There is already acceptance of gender variant persons there too, I can't remember what the traditional tgs were called, perhaps Mahu? The weather would certainly be an improvement for those of us living in the northeast. I'm packing my suitcase now ;D ;D

I can understand the feeling, Rebis. But, is there not enough ghettoizing of people already over differences and similarities? Is another an answer, and if so, to what?

I understand there are many different types/genders of people at this site. The mingling seems good for understanding. IMO, same is true in the rest of that world we live in.

A few less Latino, Black, Venetian, Jewish, Muslim quarters in our world might not be a bad idea, eh. I think one of our major problems is the way we exclude/seclude what we have no wish to see: things/people that give us pause to examine ourselves, and our simple answers.

If anything, id avoid this place entirely. It fosters bubble world, its simply a real life concept of the 'internet chatroom ->-bleeped-<-s' people who dwell online all thier wakeing hours, and never visit the real world.
By all means however, go ahead :)

Speaking of people dwelling online 24/7, I do see YOU around here quite a lot >:D

I live in the real world of rural America, I only know of 2 or 3 other trans people within a 50 mile radius, and I rarely ever see or talk to them. I enjoy my neighbors and friends in the real world, however it's nice to let down my guard occasionally, and spend a little (or a lot) time online with people who share similar feelings.

At least my little 1 acre that we are paying to own, certainly is gender identity and expression open.  1 acre down billions more to go.

I'll come visit your colony, Reebs, provided it's an arctic climate. I was never meant to suffer summers like this. My Siberian ancestors are rolling over in their graves.

All people would be welcome.  Even non-trans people.  The point is to create an inclusive community, not an exclusive one.  The idea is to allow people to openly explore their gender journeys. It would not hurt to have open minded straights around.
It wouldn't be the last stop for people either.  People could come and explore their selves and then go back into the world taking what they've learned along with them.

If we're on a tropical island, we can build a cold zone for the Siberians.  ;D  Actually, there are times when I enjoy the naked deadness of a brutal winter.  It's a reminder of the cycles of life.

You can keep the real world for yourself.  The whole point of TG world is to give people the opportunity to be themselves.  Maybe we won't have to be so self conscious if we're in a place where we are the norm.  Maybe we'll then be freed up to pursue our true nontrans interests.

It isn't the cold and dark of winter that bothers me, it's how long winter lasts in New England that sometimes gets to me. Hey, if we have a Siberian zone, I'll visit occasionally, and bring along some of my homemade beet borscht and latkes (good foods to eat to help stay warm in those temperatures).
