I had my first endo a couple of weeks ago and she decided to start me on hormones so she could "bend" the details for my insurance company. They won't cover blood work for gender therapy but they will for medication monitoring.  >:-) I know so far most of what I feel is psychological but  I feel a thousand times better already. Although she put me on a transdermal patch so I have had a lil trouble getting it to stick and not fall off in the shower. Tegaderm patches are a miracle! Otherwise things are doing well enough so far. Aside from a minor dysphoria dream I had last night. One I am sure a lot have had... starting transition before puberty beat me with the masculine stick... oh well. That is all for now!

Today is my third day of HRT. I know I've not been on them long enough to have any real effects, but just having started hormones has made me feel so much better. I'm actually a lot less dysphoric about my body because I know that soon it will start gradually changing. I hate my masculine features a lot, but the fact that they are there bothers me less because I'm finally doing something about it.

Emotionally and psychologically I feel like in riding a very strong high. My good vibes feel almost indestructible. I've always been a very positive person, and now I feel a thousand times more positive and optimistic, which I didn't think possible. And I know none of this is from my Spiro and E, yet. But it's still awesome and I'm going to milk it for what it's worth.

I wish you luck in your journey. In the coming months and years you and I will see what these meds do to us, and I for one am extremely excited.

And how they're in a hurry to complicate their mind
By chasing after money and dreams that can't come true
I'm glad that we are different, we've better things to do
May others plan their future, I'm busy lovin' you "

Here's another tip for you.  When you get a mammogram, have it coded as "gynomastia."

Congratulations! :D
Please let us know how you get on.

But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.
