Coincidence? Or do colds tend to be "in the chest" when you bind?

It is certainly a cold, runny nose, etc.

A cold is a virus, so it really has nothing to do with binding.

That being said, it's sometimes hard to differentiate an actual cold vs. an upper respiratory infection, which is bacterial.  Even so, binding isn't going to "cause" the cold to be located in your chest. 

I'd say coincidence.  The only thing I know of that is aggravated or possibly caused by binding is costochondritis, which is not cold-like.  Either way, if you're really concerned, talk to your doctor.

Just make sure you don't bind while you have a cold.  I speak from experience.  I ended up with bronchitis and damage to the cartilage of my ribs.  It took a month to get all the way better.

Sounds awful. This is what I was afraid of. And im going to the dr. Tomorrow to start t and I need to bind for that...but I guess I will take it off after.

Yep. I had a cold I caught from my students. I can't avoid binding at work since I'm not out, and I ended up really hurting my ribs. It took about six weeks to get better.

If you can stand it, try to avoid binding for long periods if you are coughing a lot.
