Love those Canucks!  A couple club members and I were at our site's farmer landlord's house to see about extending the lease to the dark site this past Saturday.  There is a well visible a little more than a mile that was giving us problems with the bright lights at night.  We noticed that the last 6 months the lights were off during the night.  The farmer said that the well was "over-fracked", producing more muddy water than oil.  A couple of geologist members said that the well was not producing much anyway and that it is operated sporadically as a write-off and is subsidized.  Fuel tax and subsidies, we taxpayers get fracked either way!

We Canadians are known for our sometimes irreverent sense of humor with shows like this, "The Royal Canadian Air Farce," Rick Mercer Report etc. We have an amusing way of making a point. In 1981 on a boat cruise I met a young female in a media career in Atlanta. When I told her I was from Toronto, Canada, she said "oh I love that show "Bizarre!" I didn't know it was picked up in the USA. US comedian John Byner came to Toronto & was the prime person in a lot of off the wall skits & anti stuff reflecting the protest era.

We get most of American television in Canada, but we are protective of our Canadiana and our identity.

Pleased that you like our humor friend Shan.
