im going to start T gel soon and my doc said I was starting 5ml, or one packet, each day, and mentioned that at such a low dose he wasnt sure if my periods would stop. do you guys think it'll stop? expierence anybody?

I hope you do stop immediately, I want to start t so I can end that mess every month.  No cis guy has monthly bleeding that he has no control over and can only use a pad or put a tampon in to absorb it.

I don't know if he has a low dose or not but my friend is 3 months on gel and his period didn't come this month.

Personally, it took me 6 months on gel to stop having those sorts of issues. But I had much slower changes in general compared to other guys, so you may lose it earlier.

Everyone is different but mine stopped pretty quick once I started T gels. Had my last one before I started.

I started with gel and I had only one period but that was only because I started in the middle of a cycle.

I wouldn't agree with this statement. I am pretty sure it is dosage related. Obviously I am a little old to have a period but like a lot of people I started quite low dose. I think my changes were slower starting out. The picture here is 8 months, so obviously it works and does its thing.

yeah but, starting at 1 package a day, will it stop my periods?  for long enough and on a high enough dose I know it'll work eventually, but will 1 package, 5ml a pack, once a day work in stopping them?

It depends on the dose (as I don't know really what that is and we are not allowed to discuss them) and also your body. Some people's periods stop quickly and some don't. Generally I believe that gel doses are lower and changes are slower, but not necessarily.

I am in the same situation wondering if it will cease the periods. I am taking the lowest dose of Testim 1% gel every night and I will let you know if I have it this month or not.
I am male because I say so and nothing more.
I don't have to look or act like one therefore.

It not the dose that it matters it how your body takes it. Just stick to what your GP or GIC tells you on how to take it as everyone takes it in different ways so don't try and copy them to get the high dose as it will turn in to E.

You only just started so give it time.

rexyrex: Well that's true about how well your body absorbs it too. (I wouldn't discount dose though), although it is hard to tell which individual is going to respond to which dose! I have heard that some guys do NOT absorb the cream/gel. I don't know what percentage that might be. And of course, everybody reacts to T differently.
