In the beginning of this episode (Follow The Leader) Zipper is screwing around doing karate moves. Portia shows up in a karate uniform (looking utterly adorable, of course) and reminds Zipper that he promised to give her karate lessons. He attempts to cop out with a lame "I said some day" response, so Portia cranks up the charm (looking, oh so cute in the process). Then he tries the typical "you're too young to learn karate". That's when he puts out the branch and....well...you see what happens.

I actually used that kernel of an idea (Portia learning karate) for a fic en titled: "The Lesson". Portia gets beat up (a scene that I hated to write... ...I know...I know) so she decides to take a karate class. The girls run into the bully later that day at lunch and Kathy beats the hell out of her (a scene that I would LOVE to make a reality, rather than just something in print..oh well) anyway...there was also another meaning behind the title for this fic. Portia had to remain in the closet as far as her parents are concerned. But Rebecca (Laura's mother) talks with Portia's mother, Sharon (against Portia's wishes) and then it all works out in the end since her parents suspected something all along.

I did a few times back in the day. I remember one particularly painful instance when I was still living with my parents: I was in my bedroom doing REALLY loud noise stuff and swing this cheap mic I had around and around. Well, the mic had a very thin cable so it coiled very easily, which was VERY bad news in this case. The mic swung down and then up at just the right angle and WHAM! directly into the underside of the beanbag. I hit the floor and laid there for at least 10 or 15 minutes while the amps let out a very loud low-end hum. Eventually, I was able to get up VERY slowly and turn the amps off.

That sounds like it hurt. Ouch.

Getting hit down there isn't great for me either. Thing is, you have to hit the taco right on target and it can hurt pretty bad to say the least. Getting hit in the breasts is worse though.

BUT..I have to say, now that the twins are gone and I have breasts (tiny ones but...oh well) getting hit in the boob hurts a hell of a lot worse. I remember accidentally hitting them when I was brushing my hair that hung down past the front of my shoulders....OUCH!

I've got small breasts as well but doesn't mean I can't hit them on a wall or a table! I always seem to find new ways to harm myself.
