Hello there :)
Everytime I've read interesting things here, I reminded myself to register, but I was always forgetting, do not know why... well, finally I did it :)

So, I am Alexandra, or Alex for short. I am 33 years old MTF (I already hate that term) from Bulgaria and I am on 13 months HRT, also in process of changing my ID (it is a difficult thing here, in Bulgaria)...
Beside the "technical data", I am a professional musician - I play guitar and piano, write songs and I am soundengineer as well. Let's say, I am an introvert person, who likes the good books and movies, listening to nice music and prefer to stay home, rather than partying.
I am vegetarian, non-smoker and non-drinker, trying to keep myself fit and healthy aaaand... I think that's all.
If you have some questions - feel free to ask :)

Welcome aboard Alex, nice to meet you.  :)

A big warm welcome to the family Alex! I am so glad you found us and joined because it helps a lot to have people in your corner who understand you and what you are going through. There are quite a lot of musicians and artist's here, even myself. I performed with Drum Corps here in the states in the Brass line. Feel free to rant, vent, share good news (we like that a lot), learn or just have some fun and meet the rest of the family. Here is a BIG HUG  :icon_hug: to welcome you and make you feel right at home, because you are! :)

Thank you all for the nice and warm welcome - you really made my day :) :) :)

I am pretty sure, there are a lot of artists here, because most of the TS people I know, are performing some kind of art, also I've read studies, showing that trans people are usually more intelligent, artistic and creative than average...

I was playing guitar in a sort of famous rock band in my country, but I had to leave the band for some time, because of the transition. Luckily, the people from the band are very supportive and they really want me to come back in the band, so they are waiting for me :) I know it will be a difficult situation, because I think some people will recognize me, but I have to find a way to deal with it with dignity...

I love these Bulgarian band names.  I saw them in an article, but I have only heard of "Mastilo" and AXAT.  So, which of these are worth a listen?

I have noticed that metal bands from Eastern Europe have an "edginess" to the music.  Sadly, I can't understand most of the lyrics.

Depends of what genres do you like :)

Odd Crew are one of the best metal bands here, Ahat and Kikimora are somehow similar - Hard Rock to Metal oriented, nice riffs, keyboards, high male vocals, Pantommind are close to Kikimora, but more Progressive oriented. Mastilo is typical pop band. I am not familiar with the rest of the list...

But if you like melodic hard rock with female vocals - you can hear my band, where I am currently not, but I will return, when I achieve enough feminine look: Sevi

Wow!  Thanks for the link to the band.  I really like the sound!  Listening to "Fairy" right now.

Svetlana has a great voice.

Okay, "Can't Stand the Pain" has cued up.  Loving it. Your band reminds me of Heart.

I am glad you like it :) I don't know if you found the link, but the first album is available for free download at the site :)
Here is the YouTube channel - you can find interesting stuff there: Sevi

I can't wait to become passable, change my ID and get back to the band... I miss them :(

Hi Alex,
Welcome to the forums! I vacationed in Burgas and Sofia years ago, such a warm country. Hope you have a tan!

I wish there were options for me to have a tan... I am not yet passable even to go fulltime and I cannot even dream about going to the beach or something...
