Dan G.

I'm really happy and goodness, I probably freaked out every single person in the waitingroom when I came bounding out of the doctor's office shouting about how happy I was!!

Umm so I had a question though, any specific vitamins that would be good to take? I really want to take as many healthy steps for my body as possible.

Congrats on starting T!

Regarding vitamins, a properly balanced diet should be sufficient - people get pretty caught up in taking supplements when the reality is that most healthy amounts of vitamins can be attained through eating healthily and getting plenty of sunshine.

Otherwise, I would recommend a men's multi-vitamin.  Just be cautious when taking any vitamins - taking too much can be dangerous.  Stick with the recommended doses and you should be fine.

There are more and more studies coming out about multivitamins being a waste of money for the general population. If you are taking vitamins, it should be for a reason and not just to be healthy in general. As previously stated, a balanced diet will take care of that.

Taking specific vitamins isn't a bad idea. For example, I live in an area that doesn't get a lot of sunlight year round so I take vitamin D. I'm vegetarian, so I take a B Complex vitamin.

Basically, take a vitamin if your lifestyle calls for it, but otherwise just eat healthy. c:

YEAH BUDDY, starting T! I just started on the 8th and I'm excited too.

Eating protein in general is always a good idea, not just for muscle growth - but don't overload your diet with protein and shrink it back in different areas such as leafy veg, you need to keep it balanced.

Intake of protein is slightly different for people doing actual bodybuilding work for bulking up.  You need to be sure that you're following a regimented weight training program and an appropriately planned diet before just randomly adding heaps of protein to your diet.  Eating protein alone and just randomly doing some weights isn't going to see you bulk considerably.  You need to have a plan to bulk up.
