Hello, well as the title says, I've just found this site and had a quick look through as a guest but decided to register and introduce myself.
I am the SO to a MTF transgender. I met my OH many years ago and he (as she was then) was my first love but circumstances meant we went our separate ways...fast forward 20yrs we met up again and instantly we fell in love all over again only this time he was transtioning to she. I've never seen this as a problem and support her in whatever she does and I will help with her transition anyway I can. I often help with makeup and as a beautician I advise where needed.
I'm not saying it's an easy road to walk but I fell in love with a her as a person not her gender, I'm sure there will be times I come on here seeking answers myself and I hope I will be welcome.
Anyway I'll say bye for now and I'm  looking forward to getting to know you all.
Take care Sam xx

A big warm welcome to you Samantha! I am so happy to see the support and love you are giving your SO. It melts my heart when I see people loving each other as people and not gender or titles. I for one will do anything I can to assist if needed, so after 15 postings please feel free to PM me if you ever need anything. Even my Therapist uses this family for up to date information on our issue's and newest treatment ideas. Here is a BIG HUG  :icon_hug: to welcome you and make you feel right at home, bring your SO also! :)

Hi Samantha!  I just joined and am in a similar situation!  I was actually getting ready to post my intro when I read your post a couple days ago.  I had to share your post with my SO and have a good laugh before I could post.  It is like I already posted!

Hi Samantha! Your SO is so lucky to have you. It is somewhat rare that this happens. I think it has been said 1 in 9 actually can support their SO during transition so you are a very special person indeed. A very warm welcome.
