Sadly I have been forced to delete all my posts due to my wife using them as a weapon against me in conflicts during our difficult separation. I will still be around on the site and available for private messages.

Hello Ladies,

So after having a very encouraging talk with my wife, we decided that I need to start going out in public feminized to see if that is something that I truly want. Right now, I (like many of us) am living in fear of being discovered and my wife and I believe that it is this fear that is preventing me from knowing what I really want.

Yesterday I decided to go out and get food for my wife and I while I was still wearing my girl jeans and pink nail polish on both my hands. Since we were both craving different things I ended up going to McDonald's, Tim Horton's, and then Dairy Queen. My first stop was McD's and I had to take a deep breath to get out of the car. I went inside and placed my order, probably speaking faster than I usually do and obviously nervous. No one said anything, was rude, or did anything to make me feel uncomfortable. I then went to Timmies. I had no hesitation this time when I got out of the car and walk inside. This time when I ordered I slowed down and made eye contact with the lady at the counter. I still wasn't my usual self, but I felt more comfortable. Once again, no one said or did anything to make me feel uncomfortable. Although the lady at the counter did stumble a bit with her train of though, which was kinda adorable. By the time I got to DQ I was back to my usual self and I was able to make small talk with the lady behind the counter.

All in all, it was a great experience that just reinforced the idea that our fears make everything seem far worse than it actually is. Of course now this opens a whole new problem... How do I justify not throwing out my guy jeans and stop myself from doing my nails every weekend? :)

Hey Alyssa, I'm really proud of you! I figure that as long as you're not publicly announcing that you were wearing pink nail polish or girl jeans, no one will take notice of it. I've done it a few times while in guy mode, and nobody's bothered me about it. But I'm sure it was a great experience, and it will only get easier as time goes by and the more that you go out. Lots of luck in the near future!  :)

I'd say just go for it. For the past 6 or so months I've been doing my nails (a different color every week) and dressing fem (nothing spectacular just jeans and a casual top mostly). The only comments I've gotten in that time have been compliments on my nails from several people.

Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding.

I have "bad" news, Alyssa - you don't.
Estimated % of time my nails were bare in the last two weeks: 10%.

If you only do your nails on the weekend maybe you & your wife can make it. Long ago I did mine every night & my wife did not like me using up all her espensive red polish.

Just having some fun, good luck.

Congratulations Alyssa.

Justify throwing out your guy jeans, depends how many pairs of jeans do you own?
Justify doing your nails every weekend, it is immposiblle so don't even try.
Now you just have to wait for when people remark when your nails are bare for a while. Have fun enjoying all the colours in the rainbow.
