I am really feeling down lately. I have had laryngitis going on 5 days now! I'm normally not too concerned with my voice passing....its not the greatest but I have never been gendered incorrectly....but now I am so much more conscious and fearful....even though unbelievably I still have not been misgendered...even on the phone!!!

I fear that my voice will never be right again :( what's more fearful is that if I drop it close to my old voice it doesn't sound as hoarse. I'm just wondering if years of talking from my throat has done this or is it because I was sick! I am so depressed over this among so many other things.

Has anyone else dealt with this. I know years ago I would become hoarse easier if I was speaking too much or smoked too much. It has only happened a couple of times since my voice has changed, and this was late at night after speaking on phone too long.
