Heya,

I'll be going into facial feminization Surgery with Dr. Spiegel this Tuesday, so I'll be posting some before pictures and after etc and stuff about my experience.  I found it really helpful to read other's experiences with ffs in the process I took in deciding/planning my ffs surgery, so I'll document it here in the hopes others find it useful.

Here's a list of things I'm getting done!

• Forehead contouring
• Brow Bossing
• Hairline advancement
• Eyebrow lift
• Cheek implants
• Minor chin contouring
• Rhinoplasty
• Possibly some minor jaw contouring, will discuss this with Dr. Spiegel on Monday.

I liked how he was able to make changes for other girls that were both profound when needed, and subtle when more appropriate, adding up to someone who just looks female naturally.  So excited, two more days before I travel to Boston!

I had the same done three months ago with Spiegel + lip lift (no augmentation) and chin implant.  You're in great hands, and you are going to look GORGEOUS.  If passing is a priority, you won't have to worry about it.  If you want to use your beauty to influence people, all you'll need to do is smile.  Your life is about to change!  FFS saved me, and you're so lucky to have this opportunity.  I can't wait to see pics!

I know it's a personal question, but how much is all of that going to cost?  That sounds similar to my wish-list of procedures, and Spiegel is my top choice by far...

It's no problem, I ended up paying around somewhere in the $40,000 range for everything.  It's certainly expensive, and has gone up in the last few years (inflation, economy, etc).  But so worth it!  Everyone was so nice in the office too!  I am really looking forward to this, I can't sleep at all, surgery so soon!

Right on!! Im super excited for you, Im sure youll love it. Definitely true, It is worth it to travel for the right FFS surgeon. I cant wait to see the results  I plan on doing some Jaw and Chin work sometime this year. I did the upper half (Type III forehead/Brow lift/Hairline/Rhinoplasty) with Dr. Ousterhout in October of 2013, I traveled as well from Hawaii to California. I love it, quite expensive but worth every penny. It has helped with my dysphoria immensely.

I hope that your surgery went well. can not wait to see your face again

Just saw your latest pics today, and even with the swelling I think you are looking amazing!  You've got nothing to worry about!

I feel like lumpy space princess from adventure time, but at least I'm sleeping better now and the bruising and swelling is going down, yay!  I'll update tumblr with more pictures today, and especially tomorrow when I get stitches and staples removed (so surreal seeing staples in my SKULL).  Eight days since surgery, just a week or two more of pain and then a month or two of my face recovering to how it'll mostly be like from now on.

I feel like I'm starting to see some huge differences in my face, also my nose cast came off and it is still obviously my nose from before, but alot more subtle!  Overall, super happy today!

Except for my unruly eyebrows and beard, haaaaaate
