MbutF

Hello everyone.

I've always had problems identifying with my birth gender, for as long as I can remember. IRL, nobody knows this except myself. I've learned to hide my gender issues, and I'm good at it, on the outside, I may seem normal, but on the inside, I'm torn. The older I get, the more I seem to hate my body, and the more I wish to 'change'. To what extent I want to 'change', I'm not sure. I'm still learning. I'm also more accepting now than ever before. I like to talk about my issues, because it's one of the few things that keep me going. I'm sensitive, but I think that's a good thing.

A big warm welcome to the family MbutF! Your story is just like the other hundreds here, so have no guilt or shame and we will get you through this with very caring support. I was one of those that held it in for 40 years and no one had a clue. Then it just got too much and I hit a live or die moment. I chose life and I have never been happier in my life. I went from robotic and emotionless to happy and full of emotions and compassion. All of the information you get here is provided my REAL people at all levels of transition from still questioning to Post Op. I am sure this great place can give you what you need to decide your life's road to the future. Feel free to rant, vent, share good news, learn or just have some distracting fun and meet the rest of the family. Here is a BIG HUG  :icon_hug: to welcome you and make you feel right at home! :)

Yes, sensitivity is a good thing. Welcome to the forum, sweetie. Hope you find what you're looking for here. :)

Hello and welcome to Susan's
You have come to the right place for sure. The folks here are very non-judgmental and open. So please ask away. I have found this site has become a major part of my support system along with my therapist and I think you will find that others here are dealing with a lot of the emotions you are.

I know you didn't state your age but it is never to late to be the real you. So again Welcome.

Hugs

You didn't join a "site", but a real family! Jump right in! We have this habit of taking shy folks and turning them into chatter boxes! ;D
