When I finally received my reelmagik basic packer it had a seem through the middle of the entire thing. Did anyone else notice this on theirs? 

There's no seam on either of mine. I don't think it's normal, no.


One thing I've learned about RM Basics...if there is a problem, contact them immediately. They seem to be pretty good about that kind of stuff. I wish I had asked them about all the bubbles in my first one...turns out that's not normal either.  They probably would have given me a replacement.

Yeah, I have bubbles too right under the shaft but the seem is like directly in the middle of the packer.

I ordered my RM Basic Packer and it doesn't have any malformations, though if it did, the first thing I'd do was to contact them. They have really good customer service.. I e-mailed them during a busy time in their production but they got back to me in only a day or two.

I emailed them yesterday but haven't gotten a response yet.

Like everyone says it's best to contact them. There was "skin" peeling off and i just assumed it was normal so i didn't email them. When i saw them at philly i mentioned it and they said that wasn't normal and gave me a new one the next day.

I emailed them and they never responded. So I'm just gonna assume they don't give a ->-bleeped-<-.

Maybe give it a little more time?

I know Jess does all the mail, so yeah maybe.

I had my girlfriend email them since she was the one who got it for me. She emailed them last night and got a response about an hour ago. They just asked for a picture of the seem to see if they could determine what had happened. They said they were going to send a replacement as soon as possible.

Well I wish you the best. I think there reputation makes it seem like this is a huge organization. I think it is a couple guys part time in a garage. I think Jesse might be full-time but I don't think anybody else is.
