This is a poem I wrote about co-dependant and love-hate relationships.  I have been in a few myself and this was a way of letting it go.  A lot of the stuff I write is a little "darker" because it is a way to release it instead of harboring painful emotions all the time.

I could take your head
In your sleep, of course
But I spared you instead
Because I need the remorse
Oh, how you do plague me
And every step that I dare take
But I need you unquestionably
So on tired nights I can lie awake
It would be easy to save us
Walking away is another route
But I cannot live without fuss
So instead I'll just sit and pout
Nothing is ever simple or easy
I prefer all the madness, though
The greatest feeling is queesy
And I need all the scars I can show
